Well it's 7:10am here on the east coast and I'm ready to hit the gym.. At least my mind is. More often than not I'm at the gym after work. So I've had a few full meals, a lot of fluids, and gotten a warm-up (sometimes in the form of a Mockup landmine workout using 3or4 inch steel pipe weighing 200-300 lbs)
Back to the couch now, I figured it was best to eat something small, take my multi and vitamin c, and have a small protein mixture (whey, casein, mass) It all looked good on paper, but thinking about squats right now is making my stomach churn.
For those of you who are hitting the weights pre-9am.. What's your morning routine like?
Ie: supplements, diet, warmup, time from waking up until your first lift?

53 and hit the gym every morning at 6:00 AM. Start at 5:30 with PWO. Mix BCAA and some intra like iForce Compete and hit the workout. Finish workout, get ready for work and have breakfast at work.

Yeah, same here. Awake at 5am... Depending on how I feel in the morning, if I'm hungry (most mornings this is a yes!) I'll have a protein shake. Mix up my amino and beta alinine to drink while training. Within 10-15mins I'm lifting, working up to heavy sets of course. Finish around 6am and make my PWO shake - coconut water, kale, broccoli, banana, oats, protein, creatine, handful of frozen peas + a cup of fruit like strawberries or raspberries and a TSP of my MCT oil. Shower... finish with a few minutes of cold shower therapy to really kick my a5s into gear and then I'm dressed and out the door by about 7 - 715am. Eat around 9:30-10am, eat again around 12:30pm... another protein shake in the arvo gets me thru until I'm home and preparing dinner. That's my normal routine as of late.Fan of comics, superhero movies, and video games? Come Like my FB page and join in the discussion: www.Facebook.com/SuperheroSpot

during winter i do mornings, only because its easier to wake up at 6am lol. i also usually go fasted with a pre workout at around 8am because i dont wake up hungry very often. my body handles this type of condition very well though. im usualy at my strongest in the morning, assuming i went to be before/at 10pm.

And some nights I feel like an old man jumping in bed at 9 - 9:30pm but I just keep telling myself, think of the sweet, sweet gains... LOL
I guess my only problem with training in the morning before work is that sometimes I just want to keep going and squeeze in a few extra sets but the clock is kicking my ass.

Definitely good insight for ways to go about the early workout. I think Sat/Sun I may have a shake before bed and try to workout in the morning without eating more than a banana. After this past Saturdays 8am workout and reading everyone's posts I wish I could do a pre-work lift, but as of right now I'm waking up at 3:10am to get to work on time, don't worry mike I feel like a grandpa myself going to sleep at 8:30!

Love the morning workout, such a great way to start the day! 6am at the gym for me, usually fasted. I'll take my Powermax before to kick start my workouts and once I'm going I'm good to go! Lol, but at 3:10 in the morning I don't think I'd be going to the gym before that. I used to fill in sometimes for our morning show and I'd have to be there at 3:30 which meant I'd be up at 2:30. Such a weird schedule to get used to. But then I would hit up the gym right after work, which was at noon.
