So you folks know, I didn't die. I injured my groin and that had taken much longer to heal than I anticipated. Got back to squatting for the first time today (that I can call a decent session). Only worked up to 255 for a few triples. It's a start.
Things should start picking back up here pretty soon. I think I have a minor case of food poisoning right now since I've shît 12 times in the last 18 hours. Anyway, I'm still around and will pick this log back up. Thanks for still being here.

Good to see you are back at it Dave! I just got back into squatting too. Nerve racking that first time under the bar after an injury.

Hi fûckers. It's been a long time huh?
Well, MRI on Tuesday, got results and follow up this morning with my sports med doctor.
For those of you who don't know what all those stupid words mean, in short, I have torn a ligament that connects the adductor to the pelvis. The MRI also indicated a noticeable amount of pelvic stress at the joint (osteitis symphysis) and significant fluid buildups where the tear is.
Recovery time is from 12-36 MONTHS (not weeks). Supposedly worse than an ACL in terms of healing time.
Basically, what this says is, no squatting, no running, no deadlifting, nothing that would cause pain to the affected area (pain is not gain in this case).
Sorry for my lack of being here, but this with a lot of other things going on have taken a toll on me. The road ahead isn't paved with gold, but I'm going to do my best to stay the course and get this shît healed up. My career depends on it.
Today begins the road to recovery now that I know what's up. Expect my presence to be what it once was. This won't beat me.
