Rotator cuff injury
I used to compete in the USAPL for power-lifting; 148 weight class.
- Stats prior to injury: Bench: 275 // Squat: 315 // Dead: 405
I developed some great strength for my size and was working on increasing my bench press, but then I ended my PL career.
After the injury, the physicians said there is no tear to the should joint area (possible micro-trauma). It's been 6 months since my injury and within these past 6 months, my pain tolerance has gone from barely pressing the bar with moderate pain, to being able to rep out 215 with some dull, nagging pain afterward.
Has anyone had any rotator cuff issues? How do I rehab it properly?

Not trying to be a dick but there's a TON of information on rotator cuff rehab. Google and YouTube show a lot of different exercises for shoulder rehab and prehab. Most rotator injuries are caused by imbalances and poor form. Start with your rear delts and lower traps. Reverse flies oh shrugs face pulls etc. use the Internet man. A simple 5 minute search will give a plethora of information.I'm just a dude chasing a dream

id grab a mri or get a second opinion from a specialist with some mri pics. i had some probs the radioligy department said they saw nothing so i took the mri pics to a specialist and boom i needed a bankart reconstruction. so they do always see what the specialist sees. you need a orthopedic dr.

After 5 shoulder surgeries, there's not much i don't know about RC injuries short of doing the procedure itself.
This could also be a labral tear by your description of the pain. The problem is, a lot of times rc/labral tears don't show up on MRI. Sometimes it takes a diagnostic scope to figure out what's going on.
Rehabbing it is a whole different thread, and kimchee's input would be valuable here. I'm at the point where I just rehab it on my own...
