    Ripped Callus

I normally shave my callus's off and never have an issue. The one day I'm doing RDL with too thick of a callus, it rips off pretty deep.

Anybody have some quick fixes and personal experiences for it healing? Last time this happend it was a good 3 weeks until it was better....I'm trying to not wait that long.

    Thanks!

bag balm [in the green tin] works for pretty much everything.. I used to use it on my horses for saddle sores and cuts and it healed completely in 24-48 hours.

Rub some dirt on it and right back to work. I usually just rub a bunch of chalk in it when that happens to me.

I always chalk up and I don't care about working out with it but I know that isn't helping the healing process. Just wondering about better options than neosporin

Did it rip deep enough to bleed? Those are the worse. When it happens to me, I put neosporin on it, wrap it some a little bit of gauze tape and then cut an ace bandage so I can get two or three tight wraps around the top of my palm. I use wrist wraps when I need to for the next week or so but other than that it's a waiting game.

If you do have an open cut where the callus was, be sure to be extra careful and wash it out after every gym session. Who knows what people are carrying around in the gym and you're gonna be touching what everyone has been except with an open wound on your hand.
