Ok I have worked out/ done sports/ etc my whole life. Never had a major surgery until April. I broke my ankle in 2 places and popped it out of socket, and had no insurance. Had 2 plates and 9 screws put in, and had to do my own rehab. Fast forward to now, I dont have full ROM in my ankle, and hills/awkward floor layouts still hurt. Heavy weight on it isnt to bad, but I still feel it. I cant do a full squat, because I have to have my ankle 2/3 inches off the ground instead of a flat foot, which in turns stop me from doing a full squat.

My question is basically what type of workouts should I do for my legs now, and will doing a squat like a mentioned above still benefit me?
