standing calf raises vs seated calf machine.

  1. standing calf raises vs seated calf machine.

Is it good to do both, should I alternate or could I do both in the same day? I prefer doing them seated.

  2. Seated raises (when the leg is bent) only works the soleus muscle of the 'calf group.' When the leg is straight all of them (soleus and gastrocnemius) are activated.

Ideally you need to standings. You could call seateds 'optional' but variation is good. Yeah you can do both in the same workout.

  3. I prefer standing. I like the stretch.

  4. I just get this strange almost squish sensation around my left ankle and I have no idea why, but it only happens when doing calf raises.
