I read a couple articles on HST and I'm still a bit confused, i think it goes like this, could someone jus correct me if i'm wrong?
weeks 1-2 15 reps per set 1 or 2 sets per body part, not to failure
weeks 3-4 10 reps per set 1 or 2 sets per body part, not to failure
week 5 5 reps, 5 sets per body part, not to failure
week 6 maxes on lifts
week 7-8 deloading
is this correct?
i was thinking of doing a low volume routine lifting to failure in the 8-12 rep range with just 1 or 2 sets per bodypart 3x a week. My own custom hst, is this correcT? or should i never go to failure when using an HST program? I kinda thought the point was low volume, high intensity
