    resistance bands

anybody ever tried working out with bands? i got some off ebay that are supposed to be about 40-60lbs and ive been using them for arms/shoulders. i have to say they definetly feel better than freeweights. ive been doing biceps/triceps one day then the alternating day doing shoulder press and high pull to get the shoulders a little bit. just stuff i dont like doing much in the gym. i havnt directly trained arms in quite a while but these give me the sickest pump ever after just one set and i think im gona stick with this for my arm training for a while. it really works the lockout of the movements and is easier at the start so it feels better on the joints too

just lookin for feedback if anyone else has tried this. i know if someone woulda told me it worked well before i tried it, i would have ignored it and said freeweights are better. this is a nice switch up on the joints

Curious to see how well they work out for you. I have some but have never really used them.

alot of powerlifters that wanna do extra work for tris or bis use bands just because there easier on the joints and dont mess with recovery... i got some bands i use for daedlift and pull aparts... you can use them for chest press and tri pulldowns but i havent yet lol

I incorporate bands in a few of my workouts. One example is the EZ bar curl. I put each of the handles on each end of the bar and put one or two of my feet on the center of the band. I have to lower the weight on the bar a good 20 pounds to get a full set. Just like adding chains to the bar, but in band form. I rarely use bands by themselves though.

Ive watched guys use them while they bench but I havent participated. If you end up using bands while benching let me know how it goes.

I just started using 115 pound bands last week got them from elitefts i use the for normal band bench and also reverse band bench i do 8x3 and change up my grip each set. I do wide, normal, close, wide, normal, close, wide, normal. Then i also do reverse band bench with 8x3 changing up my grips the same as i do band benching. I have bin told that band benching is a good way to work on your bench speed, explosion and a good way to increase your bench max. My trainer who was a powerlifter in highschool and college said he would use them once a week and he got his max up pretty good by usng them.

when using them for benching watch ur joints man when the bands kick in during the press and it shocks ur joints that can lead to overtraining quick

hes benching for speed..... when your benching for speed you should only be using 60% or less of your 1rm, so the intensity isnt high enough for overtraining

How do you like the "other lower band"? Do you find it suitable for face-pulls, band curls or tri extensions?
