I recently got a 60lb heavy bag and put it up in my basement. I have been beating the crap out of that thing 2 or 3 xs a week. I usually go non stop punching for 2 minutes, and then take a break for 1 minute. working my way up to 3 minute rounds eventually. Just wondering if anybody else works on the heavy bag, and if they have an workouts, or want to share in their achievements.

I do 1 minute rounds: 1 min jump rope, 1 min jabs, 1 min jump rope, 1 min hooks, 1 min jump rope, 1 min upper cuts, 1 min jump rope,1 min combos, 1 min jump rope. rest then repeat. I usually do two sets and i'm done.

just an update, I have been seeing tremedous gains in endurance and overall body definition from using the bag 2x a week, my arms are getting shaped up, my punches are getting stronger and quicker and just an overall good feeling during and after, I do recommend to EVERYONE!

I got an 80 pounder and I try to do like 15-20 hits with my left, then right, then kick with my left, then right, then pretend I'm in the UFC and go full blast for 5-min, but I don't think I go much more than 2
Anyway, I usually use mine after lifting, since its all in my basement.
After awhile I took off my wraps and my wrists have beefed up or something because they don't get sore from compressing anymore. Definately like it!!
