protein difference

What is the difference between PeptoPro (Hydrolyzed Caseinate)
and Hydrolyzed Whey Isolate Ultra Grade.

Since hydrolyzed whey is also di and tri peptides isn't peptopro the same just di and tri peptides?

Also wouldn't protein fractions be better. I herd from people to much peptopro can make you catabolic but what if you just sip on it threw out the day? I am looking for some clarification. Thanks team.

I know caseinate is the cheep part of the milk the 80% where whey is the 20% so than why make cheep protein in to fractions?

isolates are faster acting and shorter lasting, more suited for post workout.
caseins are slower to digest, thus more suited for night time.

come on you should know this.

Peptopro is the fastest digesting protein available with a molecular weight of 300 and tastes good. Hydrolized whey isolate ultra grade is probably around a molecular weight of 520 and has a very bitter taste. Peptopro is the best post-workout protein available. Whey Fraction contains high levels of Growth Factors (IGF-1 and TGFs) Phosphatidylserine (PS), Lactoferrin, Immunoglobulins and certain and other bioactive compounds found in whey - Phosphatidylcholine (PC), Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) when compared to other whey sources. It should be used when you are bulking.

i didnt even run a search on this peptopro stuff. Im figuring it is a casein so it is slow digesting....didnt know the hydrolzed form would make it faster than an isolate....? whatever. i dont go for these fancy dancy protien forms. Why when you have cheaper forms that do the job or better yet whole foods...

I don't think Casein is the cheap part of milk. That's what they make cheese out of. Whey used to just get thrown out. Also, find me a cheaper casien product than a whey product and I will but it.

Yeah, I think the dairy industry has to be getting rich off the bodybuilding community. Whey was literally considered junk, a byproduct of cheese manufacturing, before ppl. figured out it was a good protein source.

Considering that they used to toss it, we pay what amounts to extortionate rates for it...esp. now that it supposedly costs them so much more to make. I don't buy that story, personally.

Caseinate you would think since its slow digesting but than if its di and tri peptides than what does that mean its fast absorbing and had a diffreent amino profile that may be better than whey or not better not sure. Also any one know of ogliopeptide from whey fractions? Would that be faster than peptopro as far as absorption?

Whey is plenty fast for post workout nutrition. Peptopro might be a little faster, but for the price difference, I doubt it'd produce THAT much faster gains to make it worth paying that much more.

BCAAS would be one way of getting muscle building aminos into your system really quickly, but again, for most guys, esp. those on a budget, whey is going to be your best value per dollar as far as a fast absorbing protein.

Faster recovery convinces Olympic Committee
The NUTRIM department of Maastricht University (The Netherlands) compared PeptoPro® Sports (4,2 g PeptoPro® and 8,2 g carbohydrate per 100 ml) with a ‘normal’ sports drink (8,2 g carbohydrate per 100 ml). Exhausting exercise was followed by a short recovery time of 5 hours. During this time the athletes were given a PeptoPro® drink (330ml) every half an hour. Then followed a second training session.

PeptoPro doubled the production of insulin after exercise and significantly reduced plasma glucose levels, showing the uptake of the glucose into the muscle was accelerated. The faster the glucose is taken up by the muscle, the faster the muscle produces glycogen, as our battery is reloaded and recovered.

Even though the recovery time was very short, PeptoPro® accelerated the maximum performance by 5% in comparison with a ‘classic’ sugar drink, which was not significant because of the low number of only 12 athletes. These results convinced the Dutch Olympic Committee (NOC*NSF) to such an extent that they advised their athletes to use PeptoPro® as a recovery drink in their preparations for and during the Olympiad in Athens 2004.

I think it's a given that carbs plus protein induce faster and better recovery than carbs alone. Is that news to anyone here?

The diffrence being that you only need 3-10grams of peptopro for a post-workout shake. It does not need to be digested and creates a better insulin spike. This means faster recovery and less amino acids bieng used as energy instead of for recovery. There are many research studies conducted on peptopro and it is far superior for post-workout. It is however expensive and is worth it if you can afford it. Di and Tri peptides from peptropro can be released directly into the blood stream increasing free amino acids in our body. This is not the case with long chain peptides or regular whey.

Peptopro is like whey hydro right since both are di and tri.

How would it compare to protein fractions like in vp2?

I'm not familiar with whats in vp2 but usually if it's a commercial blend it will contain just enough to get it on the label and they wont state the molecular weight. If your looking for post-workout, any hydrolized protein is going to be better and the lower the molecular weight the faster it will be absorbed. The problem bieng that hydrolized whey usually tastes very bitter and you have to mix it with a lot to cover the taste. However, peptopro is not bitter at all do to the manufacturing process.

Of course the group getting protien and carbs will recover better and faster then just given carbs.

That's what I was saying. That result shouldn't surprise anyone. How would peptopro compare to leucine or other BCAA's that can be immediately absorbed, I wonder.

Or pepto pro with leucine and wms and than pslin. So 25 grams of peptopro 5 grams of leucine 100 grams of wms and then pslin or anabolic pump
