Recently there have been a series of "-enriched" products hitting the market, like Primal EAA, and Myozene. I think it's clear that leucine is good to take post-workout. I'm wondering if extra leucine is desirable throughout the day.
Leucine is an anabolic trigger, and I recall seeing some research showing that older rats benefitted from added leucine (it increased the anabolic effect of their food to what they experienced in their ). On the other hand, if it raises insulin (which is a selling point from a post-workout perspective), maybe you don't want to be using it all day long, but only at specific times (like post-workout).
Anybody have any thoughts on this?
