Cure a blood clot or reduce the clotting? My buddies wife has a blood clot in her calf that causes great pain. She can't sit or drive for then 10 minutes.

She has tried blood thinners, but no really help.

when i was in the hospital after a major car accident i developed a clot on my inner thigh near the groin. well they gave me blood thinners and i was spewing blood out of my nose and my mouth (my jaws were wired shut due to a brokenjaw). i could feel the clots in my mouth and couldnt spit it out! Seriously the worst feeling i have ever had! sorry for the long story but the doctors took me off the thinners and i recieved surgery to put a filter in my leg artery i think. the clot took a long time to heal but i guess just walking around and babying it helped. oh, and elevate her feet when she sleeps...i hope this helps

Aspirin is a good blood thinner. I would talk to my doctor if more serious problems occur..
