    Hmm, just bought Heat/AMP stack...



    NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Drinking two cups of caffeinated coffee decreases blood flow to the heart during exercise, researchers report, and the reduction may be most pronounced at high altitudes. While healthy people may tolerate the reduced blood flow fairly easily, it may be harmful to people with coronary artery disease.

    Dr. Philipp A. Kaufmann and colleagues from University Hospital Zurich, examined the immediate effects of caffeine on blood flow to the heart at rest and after exercise in healthy young adult volunteers exercising at normal oxygen levels or simulated low-oxygen levels that occurs at high altitudes.

    The team measured cardiac blood flow at baseline and 50 minutes after ingestion of 200 mg caffeine, equivalent to about two cups of coffee.

    They report that caffeine did not alter resting myocardial blood flow at normal oxygen levels. At low-oxygen levels, resting myocardial blood flow was significantly increased by caffeine.

    During exercise, a significant decrease in blood flow to the heart was observed at normal oxygen levels and at low-oxygen levels.

    Caffeine led to a 22 percent drop off in so-called "myocardial flow reserve" at normal oxygen levels and a 39 percent decrease at low-oxygen levels.

    These findings, the authors conclude, support that exercise-induced blood flow response may at least in part be antagonized by caffeine.

    tried AMP? I like it more, personally. Both demolish my appetite though, so both are a no go when bulking.

  9. I don't worry about it. Of course, I only use caffeine during the real heavy phase of my cycles.

    I shall have to try AMP...sounds good.

  10. Not really a problem unless you are doing something like circuit training or something. I mean I am subjected to quite a bit of circuit training playing at FSU and the caffiene can be a pain in the ass sometimes cause you def. get short of breathe faster. But as for the gym it isn't that much of a big deal.

    It is a pretty well known fact that caffiene is a vasoconstrictor or restrictor or whatever.

  11. Well I guess I will cut out the caffine when I am going to be doing cardio. I only take 250mg prior to my workout, but if I am going to be doing cardio I think I will just stick with ALCAR.

    My normal preworkout stim = 250mg caff/2 grams ALCAR and 10mg of Synburn mixed with three scoops of Xtend.

    I think Syephrine is a constrictor as well?? I am not sure off the top of my head.

    Anybody care to clue me in

    I am off to the gym and will check back for an answer in 70 minutes

  12. Ill take 2 C2 preworkout, but that's only ~75mg of caffiene. I drink about 2 cups of coffee a day.

  14. hmm, they actually have a coffee machine next the the locker room at my gym

    I take caffiene pills first thing in the AM, and around noon, thats about it

  15. i take about 300mg of powder before working out sometimes...and I get a little bit lightheaded, so maybe this could be the reason

  16. I drink 2 cups of coffee every morning before going to the gym. And have recently tryed EC stack (not with coffee too though)

  17. No pre-workout caffeine for me. Late evening workouts and caffeine are a bad mix for an early riser.

  19. I can't remember ever training without caffeine in one form or another-no styms? no thank you!

    Yes that is some good stuff!! Its cheap and works great with no "caffeine crash" I take it 30 mins before workout and it seems to last about 3-4 hours atleast for me. I dont drink pop or any other caffeine products so I'm sure that helps a bit for me.

    I was disappointed in AMP. I got a few samples the other day and tried 2 caps at didn't feel much at all. I'll try 4 next time. I agree nothing tops an EC stack. (I don't use aspirin). I feel like a focused machine on EC..

    I agree. I tried them on 2 different days. One morning I took them, waited an hour and wasn't awake yet, so I went back to bed! I guess Amp just doesn't work for me like EC does.
