What's a good, inexpensive whey protein you guys like?
Good taste/no bloat?

I've been using Optimum Gold 100% Whey Vanilla for years, but at $52-$58 for 5lbs, they kinda priced me out.

MyProtein Impact Whey. Best price per pound whey. Search for coupons too, they always have sales

Good choice there ^ MyProtein also has TONS of flavors, some better than others of course.

MTS Whey can occasionally be found 20-25% off (maybe a handful of times a year) and kills it with flavor. Cookies & Cream (C&C), Mint C&C, Peanut Butter C&C, and Red Velvet (C&C base with cream cheese like taste for a true "red velvet" cake effect) are all incredible. I always suggest MTS although it's similar in price to what you're paying now.

I recently tried Spartan Whey from Sparta Nutrition. Also a little pricey, but the cinnamon one is amazing. I found that you often get what you pay for with protein, at least in regards to taste.

You're going to get a ton of different opinions on this one.

If cost is not an issue:
XF 2.0 (LCP, Cinnamon Roll, Mocha, Chocoalte Mint)
MSI Lean Whey (Lean Charms, Oatmeal Cookie etc...)
Ghost Whey
Beverly UMP (CNC is amazing)
Metabolic Nutrition (PB Cookie is GOAT)

A little costly but not breaking the bank:
MTS (Pumpkin, Red Velvet, PB CnC, CnC, Triple Aussie Biscuit)
Nutrabio
Iforce Protean (Blueberry & RV)
Sparta Nutririon (Cinna Crunch and PB Cups)

Cost Effective:
Dymatize Whey (Choc PB, Choc Cake Batter, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Fudge)
Cellucor (Cinn Swirl, Choc PB, Molten Chocolate)
PES (Vanilla, WCM, PB Cookie, SnickerDoodle)
Animal Whey (Banana, Red Velvet, Cookies & Cream)
Rule 1 (Banana, Fudge Brownie, Red Velvet, Pumpkin)
USP Labs

Isolate:
Xtend Pro (Chocolate and Vanilla are my favorites)
MAN Sports Iso (All the flavors are great I have tried)
Dymatize Iso-100 (Birthday Cake, Orange Cream, PB, Choc PB)
Allmax Isoflex (Choc PB)
Gaspari Precision (Blueberry, Neo, CTC)

Vegan:
PES Vegan (Choc is best)
AI No Whey (Pumpkin)
SAN Raw Fusion
Ghost Vegan

I’ve been a big fan of the Sparta whey so far too, I caught the Ghost 50% off deal on GNC so I’m looking forward to finally trying it as well

I wasn’t a fan of myprotein, I was able to get through the bag but the cost savings didn’t justify buying it again for me

Cool. Thanks all for the feedback. Gonna check out a few of these. Hopefully they are more reasonably than Optimum brand.

Go with MyProtein for now, but in the future, I would go with PES Select. Whenever they have sales, it is on par with lower end protein products, but tastes better. For what it's worth, a blend is better than straight whey too, which is why I prefer it also. It may be marginal, but it's not like it costs a lot more.

Lot of good options mentioned in here already and all better than ON in terms of taste. Gaspari MyoFusion is another good option to look into - good texture and taste from being a blend, reasonably priced, and easy on the stomach.

If you are looking for inexpensive, myprotein cant be beat. They have deals every week and you usually can get 11lbs for the same price as a 4-5lb tub of other brands.

My Protein is great but I wouldn't jump into one of those 11lb bags before trying a smaller 2.5lb to
make sure you like it. I recommend jumping on the 3- 2.5lb for $30 shipped when they have that
deal so you get to try 3 flavors in a 2.5lb to make sure you like it before going for a bigger bag.
These are a few of there good flavors which I've tried and recommend
1-Mocha
2-Salted Caramel
3-Snicker Doodle
4- French Toast
5- Butter Pecan
6 Choc Brownie Batter
7- Canadian Maple
8- White Candy Cane (if you like peppermint canes)

Nearly everything is better then ON. It is thin , and watered down flavor wise. There are FAR better options as I stated. Check your PM's I can help you out.

$40 for 5lbs of Cellucor Whey would be a great buy.
^ this guy is legit! Only good things to say!

Sparta is back to 30% Off
2lb for $28 (CinnaCrunch and PB Cups are Top tier and 2 of the best on the market)
5lbs for $45

Xtend Pro Still 25% OFF
2lbs for $22
5lbs for $37.50 (Very good price you will find for a 100% Isolate)

Cellucor 20% Off
5lbs for $40

Since OP wants a budget-friendly protein powder these would all be very good choices.
