So I had my first liver function test when I was 18, three years ago, and have had multiply ensuing ones ages 19, 20 and 21.
Throughout these there have consistently been tests in which my liver enzymes were at levels outside of the upper end of the normal range. I don't have the tests from ages 18,19 or 20 to hand and so I'm not sure what exactly was too high. Attached below are some recent tests.
At age 18 my doctor said that some of the elevated enzymes may be indicative of hepatitis B. We conducted a few specialised tests to test for hepatitis and it was concluded it isn't caused by hepatitis.
I've never done AAS or prohormones, tho at the start of last year I did an extended run of LGD which left me heavily suppressed. Given it'd been 6 and 8 months since the conclusion of my run I'd assume that the tests from November '17 and January '18 would be representative of 'normal' for me.
So I have a few questions.
- The only common supps in my regimen when the tests from age 18 and this year (age 21) were done are l-carnitine and CLA. Do either of these raise liver enzyme levels? I do take more of these than what it says on the bottle
- Why is it that people on steroids have elevated liver enzymes? Does high testosterone inherently elevate liver enzymes / liver function? Would having high natural testosterone levels cause elevated liver enzymes?
With a normal range of 350-950, in Nov'17 my testosterone was at 980, in Jan'18 testosterone was 1080. Estrogen was mid-range both times.
- When I was 18 I ate a paleo diet with <50g carbs a day. I no longer eat paleo but still eat <50gs carbs most days. Would this affect liver enzymes?
- Do some vitamins elevate liver enzyme / function levels? Say, a few times the RDA for certain things (orange triad, my multi, alone contains more than 1000% of RDA for some things).
Thanks in advance
