What dosage per day did you find works best for you?

I have the 1:200 extract. Recommended dosage is 1200mg a day but that seems low.

Solid chance it's bunk. LJ100 is the only format I trust it's 100:1 doses 100mg daily it works good af.

LJ100 is quality. I also have had success weigh extracts standardized for eurycomanone. Like you said, you don’t really need much. A few hundred mg can help.

Quality tongkat ali should have a very bitter taste. If you have a bulk powder with no additives or fillers, tasting it can be a useful way to sort of gauge if it’s quality or not. If it’s not bitter, I’d be suspect. I’ve had 100:1 and 200:1/2% eurycomanone extracts that I found work well taste very bitter.
