I currently consume a large amount of BCAAs whilst training and typically consume a low carb diet (50-70g per day). After doing some research into nutrient partitioners / glucose disposal agents, I'm intrigued. However, I'm concerned that replenishing my glycogen stores more than I currently do will lead to excessive carb consumption as I think my body currently burns a lot of BCAAs during weight training, and so doesn't burn that much glycogen. Ultimately, this could lead to me putting on fat as my glycogen stores won't be depleted to the same extent.
What are your opinions on this?
Has anyone made a similar transition?
What would happen if I keep my carb intake this same whilst taking nutrient partitioners as they intruct you to take them with high carb meals (50gs+ per meal)?
