Hey I've been struggling with low sex drive and difficulty maintaining an erection due to my antidepressant. I know the easiest solution would be to switch antidepressants but this is the only one that works for me.

Anyways my relationship is being effected because of this and I'm looking for a natural alternative to Viagra. Do you have any recommendations?

So far I've gathered that L-Arginine, Horny Goat Weed, Maca, and Tribulus have been found effective. This product seems to have them all. What do you think?

Those are definitely all helpful ingredients for libido. There are also a few natural anabolic products available that can help quite a bit with libido. I would check out Alphamax XT. It contains a great natural testosterone profile including L-Dopa, Longjack, and Stinging Nettle, which can help increase sex drive and libido. Alphamax XT also contains a natural AI that can help limit cortisol and estrogen, which can also help increase libido.

If you're looking for fast acting product, I would try out yohimbine hcl. It might not be as effective due to low libido, but it can help with blood flow

It's pretty amazing stuff for stamina and libido. Not all that well known, but should be.

Thanks, I will look into it! It sounds like it would be good addition to take pre-workout?

Yes, for sure. I take 500mg and there is a definite difference in strength when working into the latter parts of your sets.

Also bear in mind some of those ingredients should be extracted for something, but aren't

Thanks is there a stand alone product or a stack (with dosages) that someone could recommend me?

I'm not looking for a testosterone booster because that's not my issue. I've had my levels tested and I'm good.

It might work well for that purpose. If Kisaj says he enjoys it, I would definitely look into it. His experiences with products is valuable IMO.

I think he was referring to the black ant extract, but I could be wrong

Have you had levels other than just test checked? Total and free, but also E2, LH and FSH to a lesser extent, but definitely prolactin?

Only mentioning this as someone with a pituitary tumor and elevated PRL levels that definitely had that impact when everything else was in range (though test was not optimal; still normal -- but it had always been like that).

Beyond that, I would echo the sentiments of l-citrulline (helpful for a number of reasons) and then purely from a "feel" standpoint, Testruction and Ultimate T both gave me a noticeable increase in libido.

Ah! Missed that one. I would venture that you are correct.

I enjoyed AI Perform when it came out. ED is a tricky one because only true PDE5 inhibitors would work well to 'fix' it. Id say that if your relationship is suffering, id definitely suggest grabbing something a bit stronger to help out in the interim.

What would something stronger be?

What are the benefits of it? Any links to good reading material on it?

Thanks is Long Jack the same as Tongkat Ali?
Yes it goes by Long Jack, Eurycoma Longifolia, and Tongkat Ali.

Alphamax XT provides 300mg daily of TA standardized at 200:1 containing a minimum 2% Eurycomanone. Layman's terms... a sick dose!

Combined with the rest of the ingredients Alphamax XT works great for my libido as well as plenty of others on this forum.

It depends on the type of ED you're experiencing. If it's a blood flow issue, which is common for older men, Alphamax XT wouldn't be my first recommendation. But if your sex drive and libido is tanked and that is driving your ED, then Alphamax XT could be beneficial

It should but if you looking for a libido booster there are better options imo. It's a good product though. I would look into evomuse testruction or Olympus labs kingsblood. Both of those should greatly help libido or just get some Cialis from one of the board sponsored chem sites(can't name them though due to rules)

I haven't ran K1ngs Blood, where would the additional libido benefits come from? The horny goat weed?

john.patterson had some good points.

I just want to chime in. There is a big difference between libido issue and ED. Your original question was regarding libido. Are you experiencing ED issue as well?

Cialis was mentioned. Cialis to my knowledge will not help with libido, besides indirectly from knowing you are getting hard easier. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm struggling with both ED and low libido. I think the low libido is causing my ED but I could be wrong. I have no other health conditions that would cause it.

I'm slightly confused. When did you have your test level checked and were you having these issues at that time?

Any new stress in your life? New job? Changes to diet?

I had my test checked a couple months ago and I wasn't having these problems. I've had some bad depression the last few years and finally found a medicine that works but it's killing my sex drive. I basically want to counteract this side effect. Tried Viagra a couple times and that did the trick but it's so expensive.

You could always pick up some research chem cialis (taladafil), that'd be a cheaper option than buying OTC Viagra

I see in another thread that you have meeting March 10th with a specialist to discuss test levels. That would be best place to ask. Just stay off of supplements for now, until they do their testing.

Viagra will help with ED, but again it does not boost libido. It's like having season tickets to the Opera. It's there, but you don't want to use it.

Between the depression and test issues you mention, I would say speak with your doctors.

Thanks I've done my testing and continue to every couple months. My last Total T came back at 800. I've read a lot of good things about Maca. Seems like a safe natural option. Do you have any experience with it?

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital studied maca for its effect on selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) induced sexual dysfunction. They conducted a double-blind study comparing a low dose (1.5 g/day) to a high-dose (3.0 g/day) maca regimen in 20 depressed outpatients with SSRI induced sexual dysfunction. Patients receiving the higher dose showed a significant improvement on a sexual experience scale and sexual function questionnaire, while subjects on the lower dose did not. Libido improved significantly and was not differentiated by dose amount. Maca was well tolerated by both groups. (CNS Neuroscience, Fall, 2008)

All the supps that have been listed can work but be aware that they effect different areas which is why you need to research what each supp can do for you. I was using a mix of things that I have posted here in the past and now both K1ng's Blood and M-Test are really close to what I took individually. I'm about to finish my 2 bottle run of M-Test and it has done what I expected from it...next is a bottle of K1ng's Blood with some additional LJ100 thrown in...as well as a few other things. I also like Butea Superba for it's DHT increasing and help with increasing that feeling of "I want some" if you know what I mean. Oh ya, if you're going Maca, try and get Black Maca (there is red and yellow...black is best for libido from what I've researched).

Awesome thank you. I did in fact get results from my doc already and they came back good around 800. Have you personally taken Maca?

Yes I have used the black maca...it is one of my staples actually. Some have classified as one of the "superfoods". For me, it seemed to increase load size after a while of usage, and my libido is stronger with it than without.

Bro, I feel you man. I too was once on SSRI's for a long duration. I started on Zoloft and my Dr changed me to Lexapro because I was complaining about ED. We did full blood work and everything came out above average and nothing pointed towards the cause of ED except the SSRI. I tried all kinds of supplements, diet changes....nothing really worked. You need to talk to your Dr and try different SSRI's (antidepressants) until you find the one that works best for you and doesn't have the unwanted sides. Lexapro was mine and I tell you what, I went from a minute man (pre SSRI) to impotent (on zoloft) to a porn star lasting hours (on lexapro) if I wanted to. I am now off SSRI's for about 9 years and I am finally back to normal. It took me a few years even after getting off SSRI's to start feeling real emotions and having a normal sex life and what not. Good luck and if you ever need anyone to talk to feel free to hit me up. Also, be honest with your partner about your troubles down there. Its a difficult situation, I've been in a couple relationships during this struggle and went months without sex because I was just uninterested due to the SSRI's. It's more brain related then tool related, thats why most herbal erection pills will probably not do much for you, save your money.

Thanks for the reply man I have to ask did you ever see the sexual side effects decrease? I've only been on for 3.5 weeks and hoping they would diminish but it's only gotten worse. I talked to my girl and she's understanding but my pride is gone.

I hate to be the Debbie Downer but it only got worse to the point where I lost all interest in sex. I could watch porno and not even care and I literally stopped checking out women (and no i'm not gay). Only time i'd be into sex is when i've been drinking. It's nothing wrong with your tool its all the mind and it goes far past the saying "all in the mind" its neurological not psychological.

SSRI's is tricky though, it effects everyone different and every SSRI can effect you differently too. My experience may not be anything like yours.

Well thanks for being honest. I feel like I'm getting to that point barely checking out women. I haven't even had the urge to beat off for a couple weeks now. That's not normal for me.

High dose yohimbe was the only thing I found to reverse SSRI induced loss of libido, but the side effects are very unpleasant.
Look into a 5-ht3 antagonist, that is probably the only thing that will help in your situation.
