Could also look into a spore forming probiotic like Bacillus coagulans. Or alternatively, Gentian Root is also fantastic for stimulating gastric juices and enhancing digestion.

For an enzyme supplement to have any sort of chance of therapeutic efficacy it would need to A) pass through the stomach intact-to the small intestine; the main catalytic site. The stomach acid (pH 2-4) would undoubtedly hydrolyze the specific peptide conformation so this is necessary B) Disperse adequately in chyme to allow appreciable, well distributed concentration on gastric emptying.

I think you'll have a hard time finding any OTC supplement that will have either.

**Side note: one of the labels above has an antimicrobial listed literally straight after a bacteria- the latter would be inert before a capsule has even been swallowed!
