Press release concerning House of Huge; fraud, breach of contract, and inappropriate behavior towards female athletes
House of Huge is supposedly a reality show in development based on fitness athletes and bodybuilders that is supposed to air on Dish Network. House of Huge has announced schedules for athlete casting calls and filming several times, each time to have the dates keep getting pushed back, the filming locations changed and put off, etc. However, all the while they are collecting sponsor funds and not fulfilling the obligations they are contractually promising to their sponsors.
SNS signed up as a sponsor on July 20th, 2015 without knowing the above information or the information that is contained below.
Immediately after signing up as a sponsor, we had several companies that were former sponsors reach out to us and tell us that House of Huge was a scam and how they owner defrauded them out of money and product. Some companies had dropped off as sponsors, some demanding their money back and others chalking it up to a loss. We spoke to the owner of House of Huge who gave us an excuse and promised us that they weren’t telling the truth and asked us to give him the chance to show us that he was legitimate and that he would fulfill the things he had contractually obligated himself and House of Huge to do for us as a sponsor. These promises and virtually nothing that House of Huge is contractually obligated to do per the terms of our contract with them have been done.
House of Huge promotes itself as having, and tells sponsors that they have a deal for the show with Dish Network. In September 2015, we asked the owner to provide proof that there was even a network deal pending to prove those claims. He was unable to provide proof of such claims and upon our contacting Dish Network, they appear to be false as we were unable to find anyone with Dish Network that has any knowledge of who he is or that has even heard of House of Huge.
On or around December 2015, we found out some really disturbing news about the owner of House of Huge, Richie Daggs. Sometimes charges don’t tell the full story and sometimes people change, but when your idea is based around a reality series involving being around fitness models, some of which are young, it would seem relevant to divulge certain information up front; such as that on 12/01/2000 Richie Daggs was convicted of Sexual Battery in the State of Florida and is a convicted sex offender.

This made us very uncomfortable with having our name tied to anything involving Mr. Daggs. Around this same time period, Mr. Daggs sent a series of inappropriate and suggestive messages to a young fitness athlete that we sponsor. As you can imagine, this was reason for serious concern in general, but especially after learning of his history.
On February 5th, 2016 we contacted Mr. Daggs asking for reimbursement because he/House of Huge had done literally nothing that is stipulated in the contract other than a couple of social media mentions AND because of some things that Mr. Daggs did that are very serious breaches of contract, fraud, and are VERY disturbing given his background.
The reasons we asked for reimbursement from House of Huge were the following:
1. Failure to promote SNS per the written contracted agreement.
2. Failure to provide proof of the network contract or deal.
3. Failure to promote us at trade shows and expos on House of Huge banners as stipulated in the contract.
4. Failure to give out the sample boxes to athletes that were auditioning. We provided 31 gift boxes of product and promotional items for him to give out to potential cast members per his request. We contacted over 20 potential cast members and not a single one had received any of the products, samples, or merchandise.
5. House of Huge stating that one of our sponsored athletes was a potential candidate without our or her permission. It was a completely fictitious statement on the part of House of Huge to try to get publicity from using her name.
6. Inappropriate interaction and suggestive messages sent to one of our sponsored athletes that made her very uncomfortable. This issue to us is made a lot more serious given his past history and the young age of the athlete the messages were sent to.
Mr. Daggs replied by agreeing to reimburse SNS for the advertising monies paid to House of Huge and the cost of the product packages provided that he never distributed. He did not refute or deny anything in the above list except was very defensive of the statement that we were concerned about his messages to our athlete and that we deemed them more serious based on his past history. As we explained to him, it isn’t our place to judge him or his past, but when a convicted sex offender sends suggestive messages to a teenage fitness athlete, we regard that as a cause for concern.
Mr. Daggs never sent the first reimbursement payment as he promised. He emailed with an excuse that another delay with the show caused him to need to delay making any type of payment to reimburse us. Keep in mind that he has added several new sponsors within the last two months. This behavior on his part seems consistent with this report we found on him: Ripoff Report | Richie Daggs Complaint Review Miami, Florida: 1133462
After careful consideration and internal discussion, we agreed that we were not likely to be reimbursed but that even if we eventually would be, it was more important for us make this information public and available to other companies so that the same thing wouldn’t happen to them and most importantly to female fitness athletes so that they would know to use discernment and be vigilant if they are contacted by House of Huge.
We are also providing documentation of the contract violations, fraudulent behavior, and inappropriate behavior to several entities that House of Huge/Richie Daggs uses to promote what appears to be a scam; these entities include Europa Sports (because he uses their trade shows to promote at), the NPC (because he targets their athletes and uses their shows to promote at), and Dish Network because he uses their name to promote a seemingly fictitious deal network deal to lure in athletes and sponsors.
If there are any other companies or athletes that have been defrauded by Richie Daggs/House of Huge, please feel free to contact us as we are in contact with legal counsel and examining civil suit options as well as going to be in touch with law enforcement in his area in regards to laws governing fraud there.
