In another massive review involving articles of only double blind randomised controlled trial where 700+ participants were involved noted that GC produced weight loss in the short term. In another trial where both the subjects and controls calorie intake was standardized at 2,000kcals noted that the GC group had a decrease in both 5% fat mass and BMI over 8 weeks. Other health markers such as lipids and triglycerides were also reduced over the trial length. This particular ingredient is also a common feature in weight loss products and for good reason, in one placebo controlled trial it was noted that GCBE was responsible for a reduction in glucose absorption which then contributed to a overall lower Calorie intake and thus resulted in weight loss in human volunteers. What is important to note is that the weight loss was typically resultant from this reduced absorption, thus allowing the person to eat/ drink a bit more without affecting total Calorie intake. GCBE was also able to help lower BP in human volunteers as well.
Raspberry Ketones
There is less evidence on RK use and Humans, however there is some data that details its potential as an anti obesity agent and overall fat loss agent. These effects are said to stem from RK altering lipid metabolism and increasing norepinephrine induced lipolysis.
