What does this mean?.

I believe what it is saying is that Epiandro reduces the heart's muscles ability to contract ( and there for beat)

Would someone explain this to me?. Or could someone post the full study.
Things that were affected:

The speed at which the heart muscle contracts was reduced (not the HR, but speed of each actual contraction itself), along with a decrease in the force of said contraction.

EpiAndro does this in part by acting LIKE a calcium channel blocker, though it is not one itself. It does this by way of Ca channel antagonism.

As we know, Calcium channel blockers are used as anti-hypertensive medications to decrease blood pressure, and are used for blood vessel stiffness, and/or to alter the heart rate and reduce chest pain (angina).

So EpiAndro can actually decrease blood pressure?.

So EpiAndro can actually decrease blood pressure?.
Unlikely that it lowers overall BP.

Rather it affects left-ventricular developed pressure in the heart and in select cardio blood vessels.

The net effect is what you would expect with any calcium channel blocker since it exerts the same effect (though via a different MOA). So any effect and/or side effect you would expect with a Ca channel blocker would be relevant to EpiAndro to some extent.

So EpiAndro can actually decrease blood pressure?.

Myocardial calcium channel blocking (CCB) activity is actually common with other steroid hormones including testosterone, DHEA and certain estrogens.
It is proposed that the mechanism of CCB of epiandrosterone is the same as DHEA- whereby the inhibition of the L-type calcium channel is secondary to inhibiting the myocardial pentose phosphate pathway activity by inhibiting glucose-6-dehydrogenase and reducing nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH). If this were to be the case it would really only be active in certain conditions where there is low blood flow to the myocardium.

So in essence if you don't have heart failure, angina or any other ischaemic heart condition it's unlikely that epiandrosterone would lower your blood pressure.
