Has anyone ever used Glucuronolactone? I have read a few interesting articles about it recently and these articles seem to imply that not only is this a good source of energy and focus but also is a key ingredient in ligaments (meaning supplementation could be beneficial for bodybuilders/power lifters).

Looking for personal accounts of using it... goods... bads...

Thanks in advance,

Joe

This. I've never used it solo, but it is in a lot of energy drinks. I know it is supposed to give a clean energy, endurance and possibly a cognitive boost.

I've not used it myself, but if you want to try it out Nutraplanet has it right now for $6.47 a bottle. Not a bad deal right there!

It is underrated IMO. Ive used it ore workout for a very long time and notice a difference when I dont.

I believe I have done a write up of it in our subsection. Ill have a look.

Edit: guess I didnt publish it. I havent seen data on it for ligaments, but for energy it is an awesome ingredient

Thanks Jiigzz. Do you take it in pill form or in bulk powder? What dosage?

I'm not Jiigzz, but I'm sure he probably uses the SNS capsules that are 500mg each :)

The directions are to take 1-2 caps up to 3 times per day.

FWIW, energy drinks used to use a lot more. I think I have seen upwards of 800mg on one before. I know one rat study listed in ergo-log used a dose equivalent to 1-2g. Red Bulls have 600mg.

Most likely just a question of diminishing returns beyond a certain dose.

Red bulls don't even have it anymore. They took it out like 4 or 5 years ago. I noticed a big difference when they removed it as the energy sucks in comparison. It really is a great ingredient.
