How long does L-DOPA take to absorb?

I've just taken my first dose of Prolactrone, which is L-DOPA 166mg and EGCG 233mg. I've just read that protein interferes with L-DOPA absorption so I want to wait a while before I have my protein shake, but on the other hand I haven't eaten in a few hours and I'm feckin' hungry!

How long roughly would I have to wait before I can eat without wasting the L-DOPA dose I've just taken?

I'm not aware of concomitant protein consumption being a huge issue with mucuna, but this study suggests 30-60 minutes for plasma concentrations to go up nicely: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15548480/
