protein powder idea's

  1. protein powder idea's

So i drink a couple of whey shakes at my job because I dont have time to eat at work. I remember glenihan posting something that guys should limit there powder intake cuz alot of it goes through the system so fast (for example whey) that much of the protien is not used. I am wondering what powders act more like "real food" protein in the body in terms of slower digestion (but not low slow) maybe egg white protein? maybe casein? or is casein too slow. I need to use the powder as the protein portions of my meals at work, not like a pwo shake where you want fast absorption.

Toss something into your shake to increase the protein such as natty. Either that or throw some cottage cheese in a container and munch on that. Excellent protein source. Or munch on some beef jerky.

  3. What's wrong with a whey and casein blend. A mixture of fast and slow digesting proteins would be great. Throw some oats and PB in there and you have yourself a homemade MRP. Or if you want to spend a little extra money buy some lean mass matrix or micellan. Or you can opt for whole foods. The possiblities are endless really.

I swear to God it doesn't get any better than 2 scoops of Chocolate WPC + 1 Tbsp. of Natty Smucker's Peanut Butter + 2 scoops of BSL Chocolate Flavoring Powder + 1 packet of Splenda.

The constitution is 1/2-way between Cookie Dough & Pudding, and the taste is better than almost any actual desert I can thinkg of-- so much so that I still haven't thought of a truly deserving name in light if its munificence...

how much water do you add to that??
Just a minute amount of Ice-cold water. Just enough so that with the Peanut Butter when you stir it it coagulates into a 'goo.' A glorious, glorious goo...
Stealing Loki's recipe @ AL. You can get your protein, some fat (natty PB) and taste like cheating

  5. what about other form of powder, other then whey and casein or a blend of the two.

Ummm, what else you looking for? You have a problem with those two? You could always throw some egg protein in there for variety. It's about the middle of the road when it comes to digestability.

  7. soy? milk protein (not whey)?, arent there others?

  8. Milk's a 20%/80% blend of whey/casein as far as I know (hence milk protein isolate you see at allthewhey.com). Always handy in a pinch.

  9. Casein[Micellar, Hydrolyzed]
    Cal Caseinate
    Egg White
    MPI

  10. I know it's a bit more expensive, but most Max Muscles carry a 5 protein blend that covers whey, egg, milk, and casein (soy is the other one). It may be pretty good. I don't use it, but I hear the taste is pretty good and they clain 5hrs release time. IT's gotta be a better deal than Miccellean too..

  11. Like stated before you have your casien's, your whey's (MPI is a mixture of the two), egg protein and soy. What are you looking for? Are you looking for a super protein or something?
