Libido boost for my buddies wife.

So my buddy has been with this girl for over a year and their sex life has sucked from day 1. She always has some excuse of why she doesn't feel like having sex and supposedly she just never can get in the mood no matter what he does to or for her. Anybody have supplement suggestions with actual proof of it working?

Maybe shes just not that into sex. if she has no desire what so ever, i doubt supps are the answer. maybe shes just Asexual. Sex is such a HUGE part of a relationship. think your buddy needs to sit down and have a chat with her about the issue instead of recommending supps.

find out what shes into sexually, or ask her how she wants it or anything like that. give her the power, let her do it her way. maybe shes just really shy sexually

Saying that, if you think a supp will help , BPS Maca Pro is supposed to be awesome. If you want to go a bit more hardcore, but cycle it for only 2 weeks, AI Perform is pretty awesome. Not sure how it would effect women but it would be the exact same I imagine

Well she needs to change for him. We only have one go at this life, its unfair to do that to a man if you ask me. fix or find a new one IMO. if the love is there, then they should be able to figure it out.

I crushed my estrogen and my libido was shot for weeks. I took AI perform 4 caps a day, and it made me like I was 14 again. Note that the effects dimish after a couple of weeks, so I would take it for 2 weeks at full dose max, then leave it for a month or so

Do not just start giving her supplements to make her want sex. If she has never wanted sex, it is very likely mental or hormonal. If they feel it is an issue, then she should see her doctor for some tests. Maybe it is mental. Either way, you shouldn't be involved.

I don't think they are planning on crushing them up and drugging her, at least I hope. I assumed the girl is interested in something for a little boost. Maca has a long list of benefits for women.

I agree. More than likely if it's that bad, she already knows the issue. My wife suffers from PCOS. Dr's want her on 1600$ month of clomid and all kinds of other crap. We don't have the funds to keep her on all that, so we supplement with maca. It doesn't clear the PCOS, but it gives her tons of energy, relieves stress, and helps in libido dept.

She's wanting to find something to help her. My buddy wanted me to see if I could find anything out. He's gonna ask her about the maca.

I'd look into the underlying issue as well. Mental issues, self esteem issues, problems in relationship etc.. All will quickly kill any drive she may have, but hormones also play a huge role. These women are a tough nut to crack sometimes, lol.

Not to go all dad on this, but I would not start playing doctor with women's hormones. Make them see a doctor and get checked first because it can take forever to balance things out if you start just giving them preg, prog, dhea, etc..

My wife has never had an overly high libido, but after our second, it is lower. Her progesterone and preg are low, so she started supps for that. But in the end, life is just stressful and busy, so sex is not on the top of the list.

After 15 years of fighting and begging for counseling which she refused to do, I started drinking. It got even worse. Getting a full hormone panel would definitely be valuable. Check for estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, test...
There definitely could be other underlying mental issues which could be a long long path to find a solution.

If it is strictly hormonal.....remember, dopamine is the hormone of desire, and is also the antagonist of prolactin which is very much a libido killing hormone. Prolactin is also the breast milk producing hormone. Having high prolactin levels will also compete with oxytocin which is the hormone released during sexual contact. Test, even in women will increase libido, but also controlling estrogen dominance through progesterone should be looked into. Maca is a great option since it will convert into test and progesterone. If you use the BPS Maca pro it is a 20:1 extract, otherwise 2-3 big tablespoons of gelatinized Maca powder should work. People often dislike the taste of the powder, and on a daily basis it does get old fast! There are also L dopa supplements that will raise dopamine and lower prolactin levels.

Once again check to see if there is an actual hormone problem before taking things that alter hormones.

This. People so rarely change in this area that you can safely say that she won't. It just doesn't happen. It's not what anyone wants to hear, but it's better to get out now before they get married. The most frustrating thing is that the low sex drive partner usually doesn't think it's bad enough to get help.

I'd agree here, I did not read through this whole thread but certain BC meds have affected my wife tremendously.. Altering sex drive, mood, and overall we'll being.. I'd have to ask her which ones gave her the most trouble to know for sure..

This! I always told myself it would change. First it was because we are dating, when we get our own place it will get better. Next it was college, she'll get better when that stress is gone. Then it was the new job, once she gets settled it will get better. Trust me you can make all the excuses you want, but it is rare that it ever changes!!

why is it people go into relationships looking to change their partners behavour? now a year has passed, both have a vested interest in the relationship, likely they will continue on making each other miserable until a breakup with unfortunate consequenses!!! it is simply what you see is what you get, if you are not happy[satisfied] with the relationship the sooner it ends the better.
