So I have a lot of trouble with focus and concentration. After months of convincing, I still can't get adderall or ritalin out of my doctors, so as a last resort, I'm coming here. Need the best supplements for motivation, focus and concentration issues. I've tried Focus XT in the past, and it was good, but I was just wondering if there was anything better or if that's my best bet.

Add things to the Focus XT, i.e. demiurge
I have a ton of Phenylpiracetam (demiurge) at home, I just don't like to use it constantly because of tolerance issues. I only use it on the weekends usually

I dont like the idea of using supplements to aid in motivation. Why study something that doesnt motivate you?

Form and make new habits. Studying is time consuming, hardwork and frustrating but nothing is going to motivate you to do it more than you wanting it more than anything.

Focus XT made a difference for me in terms of recall, speed of recall and memory uptake but nothing I have used has ever made me put pen to paper. I do that under my own power

modafinil, or Phenylpiracetam alternate with piracetam + focus xt. Having ADHD there is not much I have not tried prescription or supplement related when it comes to study aids.

A good starting stack would be.
piracetam, Alpha GPC, Vinpocetine, Huperzine A

Very well said. Focus XT also seems to give some a "feel-good" effect as well, which may aid in situation like these.

That works. I'll take the Focus XT and alternate between stacking it with Piracetam, Phenylpiracetam, and small doses of Ephedrine depending on how hard I need to study. Might try Oxiracetam after I run out of my existing racetams because I've read good things about it related to studying. I also have a physical coming up, so I may try to get some Modafinil out of my doc to.

Definitely this. Focus XT and ALCAR keep me in the zone studying and my retention is through the roof. I add ephedrine to my study stack as well.

ADHD here as well. So hard to remain on one subject; notwithstanding my passion/interest on a subject. Unless someone has this, they cannot comprehend the gravity of it ya know?

That said, I have refused meds in lieu of less harmful supps. The caveat is I'm not convinced my OTC choices have helped much at all. Lol

seeing these threads more and more my friend have you seen the specialist if you go in to the gp mind set of (get "..." out the doctor) they see most of them right through that/ all doctors may not be so bright mostly they not idiots either.

so you feel you really need help see one specializing and go in having the attitude you honestly seeking help for betterment testing available will be run and you may get the help you need.

to begin throwing darts hoping upon some otc will be close to the mark of what you need is I think foolish and it is the shame that you do not get help from doctors you need but must resort to this confused manner of asking about the internet for help.

Having someone explore a non pharma path before going to pharma is not foolish.

If you find something that works and don't have to take pharma drugs for years because of it then it's worthwhile.

Do you understand how these pharma drugs work? The long term effects of taking these pills?

It's not as simple as "go get add pills". I always advocate the OTC route first.

in some cases not foolish in this case yes before testing

no otc will work upon the receptors the same in this case

yes

I agree not as simple there are others thing to consider / I am also in favour of natural remedies over what you call "pharma drugs" you must remember not all drugs are "bad" for everyone and not all OTC are "good" for everyone.

I went to a specialist and she gave me Abilify (similar to seroquel). That's an anti psychotic mood balancer, wtf is that gonna do for ADHD? I took one look at the side effects and threw it out

Look my friend I know I joke around more then I should here in this forum but really I think you were very wise to leave off taking this unless truly you need it that just the problem you see online who to say this what you need I say this specialist you see is crazy and you no taking the advise and what if you go off the deep end.

in the end all I can say is for you go to another specialist

Best,

Guess I'm sticking with the focus XT. Anything else besides 'racetams and small doses of Ephedrine that you recommend stacking it with?

Huperzine A, Vinpocetine, and Acetyl-L-Carnitine are all main ingredients on Focus XT, which I take. Kava makes me either feel overly relaxed or drunk so i usually only use it for partying, however I have not tried Ginkgo or Phosphatidylserine which I might end up trying out. Ginkgo is cheap enough, I'll have to do some research on that other product.

No citizen has a right to be an amateur in the matter of cognition...what a disgrace it is for a man to grow old without ever seeing the beauty and strength of which his mind is capable.
