Focus XT has always been my favorite. Nice energy of course from the 200mg of caffeine, but the acute (and more importantly, prolonged) effects on focus and mind-muscle connection are superb.

That option is viable for sure dose with b6 (p5p) or folic acid to enhance absorption.

I know there are multiple amino acid transporters but I am not versed enough on them to tell whether or not there is competition.

Curious though, if consuming something as a whole protein (i.e. a meal then consuming FXT) would impact L-Tyrosine absorption considering that is already in amino form whereas the protein would have to be cleaved before releasing amino acids into the blood stream and competing for absorption.

I.e. L-tyrosine would already be absorbed before the protein from the meal impacted absorption; or is my guess off base?

You make a very good point. Maybe that's the key to taking it such that all the ingrediants are utilized. As you mentioned, if it's taken immediately after a meal then that might be too soon to affect l-tyosine absorption but would also provide food to optimize vinpocetine absorption. That sounds like a good plan to me but my knowledge on the matter is insufficient to say whether that would really work or not.

For Focus, Gameday or Volatile. I am not recommending Gameday just because I am a rep either, I was hooked on it long before. These 2 are definitely worth trying.
For non-stim, I would just use bulk Citrulline, creatine, and agmatine. Possibly throw in some Betaine.

I second and third Focus XT but I preferred the caffeine free version since I attacked it with another pwo.

Focus and energy? Yeah I gotta say Stimul8 but I'm sure everyone saw that coming.

If Focus XT is taken with food, then wouldn't that reduce the benefits of L-Tyrosine since it would be competing against other amino acids in your meal? I'm sure there's probably something I'm overlooking (or not familliar with), so any information would be appreciated.
Best results are when its taken without food, but it shouldn't make a big difference either way.

I did actually feel a little bit "stimmed out" from Focus XT. Could've just been the thermic effect. But I had a solid/focused quick lift nonetheless.
In your opinions, Focus XT solid as a stand alone pre workout or you recommend stacking it ? If so, then with what ? Thank guys

Standalone or add in other ergogens such as Agmatine and/or Cit. Mal. No other "focus" ingredients are needed.

Some do stack it with Glucuronolactone.

It does seem like most of the items in the formula would work best on an empty stomach. So, I guess if you want to get the best results from most of the ingrediants then you should take it on an empty stomach and just not gain any benefits from the vinpocetine. It's still the best profile for a blend that I've seen (and I've looked at pretty much everything) even if you neglect the vinpocetine.

I bought Bioshock on SwolenONE's recommendation and I must say it is more awesome than I expected. I had great workouts Wed and Friday this week when I used it. Today I used some of the raspberry Craze I still have and honestly I like the Bioshock better. For me, the focus and mind muscle connection is amazing! Top notch preworkout! That's my favorite flavor as well. Never seems to get old. Piņa Colada is great too. I used to always just have two tubs open and rotate them.
