AM family, need your help (creatine + glutamine)

  1. AM family, need your help (creatine + glutamine)

So i post on a pitbull forum and somehow we got on the topic of supplements for human use. Right up my alley. Well this lady started to claim that glutamine is effective especially with the use of creatine mono and that 2.5g of creatine/day will lead to renal issues. Any of you have studies proving this or disproving it?

  2. Pubmed creatine + kidney or creatine + renal.

    She sounds pretty legit.
Especially if she promotes the use of glutamine.

Ask her how being an "amateaur athlete" applies to knowledge of creatine. If she had said "amateur physiologist" it would make more sense.

The above is my own opinion and does not reflect the opinion of PES

Ask her how it leads to renal failure. And I mean ask genuinely to see if she understands the mechanism or if she read it from broscience.com

There are plenty of studies that show that Creatine supplementation will not cause renal issues in people without prior kidney issues.

And I agree with Coop; just because someone participates in sport or goes to the gym doesn't make them specialists. I looked at the moon today with a telescope but i'm not an astronomer.

Wtf. Does it also works on animals? I thought roids only had an effect on humans. Inb4 my dog turns into a wolf and kills me while im asleep

  13. Tell her to stick to her pitbull forums and not to exercise her knowledge of supplements. She's probably a strong advocate of gluten-free diets and Dr. Oz

  14. Tell her she'd probably be a professional athlete by now if she used the recommended daily dosage of creatine. It helped Mark McGwire a lot.
