It seems to be the later of the two but I did have a few beers last night so it could very well be alcohol induced squirts but ill give it a few days to see if it continues. Also I have been reading further in on Na-r-ala and from what I gathered it seems not good to consume antioxidants prior to a workout, why is that? And that brings me to my next question in regards to the dose of the two supplements ALCAR and Na-R-ala. If I do a split dose of the ALCAR 1g in the am and 1g in the pm and the optimal time to take the Na-r-ala is 30 minutes prior, seeing as I do pm workouts should I take the Na-r-ala 30 minutes prior to the am dose of ALCAR? If I do indeed take it in the morning can I mix it in with morning protein shake or will that interfere with the GDA effects or slow down any absorption of the Na-r-ala?

Quick question to coop or cel, I'm going out drinking tonight with the potential of getting some poon tang pie lol from this girl I already took my 2g of ALCAR for the day if I take 2g more pre drinking will 4g of ALCAR for the day be overkill?

To anyone still fallowing this thread, I have been taking my ALCAR and Na-ra-ALA faithfully everyday at the appropriate dosage but I have been facing extreme stomach distress. It starts off with really bad stomach discomfort, bloated feeling, feels like I ate something rotten and it's just sitting in my stomach, and then I will have really bad gas and frequent bowel movements. Sometimes ill just poop a lot and sometimes it will be diarrhea and I can't necessarily tell if its the ALCAR or the Na-ra-ALA causing this reaction. I have a feeling it is the Na-ra-ala causing the discomfort though. Has anyone else had similar problems? Should I discontinue usage or first attempt to lower the dosage and see if that helps?

I missed that question :/ sorry Dan! Glad to know Coop did see it. As for the ALCAR+Na-R-Ala problem with your bowel movements...

What kinda diet do you have? Has this happened before? Are you dosing anything else besides ALCAR and Na-R-Ala?

When I get an odd reaction from a supplement I don't know, I am usually able to locate it, since I only stack that which I know already. Thus whatever remains causing the distress, however unlikely...MUST be the cause. If you haven't dosed them before, I would say cut one and keep on with the other one...But IMO I doubt it could be the ALCAR, I have not seen anything but positive effects on all our clients, and some minor "placebo" side effects but they ceased once they realized it was not the ALCAR.

Thanks for the advice Cel, my diet is very clean its the typical chicken breast, brown rice, veggies, and sweet potato diet and theres nothing out of the norm I have been eating. My dosage as far as supplements outside of the ALCAR and Na-r-ala are the basic staples and agmatine and citrulline malate which I have taken many many times in the past with out any distress. What leads me to believe its the Na-r-ala over the ALCAR is I actually started taken the ALCAR a few weeks before the Na-r-ala but from reading on the forums how Na-r-ala is good to stack with the ALCAR to counter any free radicals built up by the ALCAR that is when the stomach issues began when I introduced the Na-r-ala dosed at 300mg.

Hm I cannot really explain why Na-R-Ala would cause this, first time I hear someone getting that bad reaction. I had seen people bloating or having some gas upon the first consumptions, but never loose stools for a prolonged time span...

Try taking ALCAR off for now, dose the Na-R-Ala the same , 300mg and same diet. If it persist, it is the Na-R-Ala, and you can try going for 150mg to assess gastric tolerance (if it were the case I repeat).

Yes I actually do, usually in the morning ill wake up and have a cup of coffee and then directly after take my whole slew of supplements (multi, fish oil, Beta Alanine, ALCAR, Agmatine,) with a large glass of water where I then mix the 300mg of Na-r-ala into it. I will then again in the evening have a cup of coffee pre workout fallowed by my supplements (multi, fish oil, Beta Alanine, ALCAR, Agmatine) taken with Citrulline Malate mixed with Gatorade and water. Do you think taken the Na-r-ala with coffee which is a natural diuretic may be causing me such extreme stomach distress?

Bro I take any form of caffeine and I'm in The bathroom.

Caffeine makes me have to go.

Try separating them or taking the na r ala away from meals for now and see what happens.

I recommend that to people trying GDAs if they experience stomach distress. This way if there is any kinda of carbohydrate blocking from said ingredient it will not occur causing the pain

Some may not recommend it but to be 100% honest no supplement has dropped my blood sugar to an uncomfortable level to date and I've stacked

4 recompadrol with 3 g ala and waited 2-3 hours to eat.

They really shouldn't cause hypoglycemia unless extremely extremely over dosed and used with low carbohydrates ( not NO carbohydrates).

Like EBF said, this is probably the culprit. It's a total bummer but try splitting them up a bit. I love my coffee too boss

Thanks guys that sucks that food or coffee to close to the Na-r-ala may be the culprit. It's especially tough because I cannot function in the morning without coffee but ill find a way to space the two out so they can coexist in peace.
