I noticed that my multi, Calcium and Omega-3 all include a dose of D3.
Is 8-10g of D3 a day too much and can it have any sides?

Lol you must have a nice tan with all that D3 in your system. You'll be alright.
Lol, you must have a nice tan with all that D3 in your system, just joking you'll be alright but if you want to lower your intake bare in mind that it might affect your test levels
My mind immediately went to the "Give her the D" twitter account... lol

Xhrr I'm guessing he looked up all the ingredient on all his sups. In the winter there's less sun, but your right xhrr that is a high dose. Yet to date I have a friend that's taking anywhere between 10g-15g per day and that f**er is still live and kicking.
10-15 grams haha I'm assuming you meant ius.
Yeah I know its winter and were getting less sunlight so he would be fine staying with what hes doing or dropping it a little bit. He really has nothing to worry about regardless
Do you mean 8,000-10,000iu?Originally Posted by alwaysfirst

Xhrr that's what I thought too. My boy is bugging he is taking it in grams. I told him to stop wasting his money
Sorry guys, I meen IU's of course...
So I'm good then with my intake for now, maybe I should get Omegas with out D next time?
Thanks guys!
Jiigzz I just spoke to him he told me its 15 grams per week. In the for of cholecalciferol which is d3 he told me its about 2.3 grams per day sorry for the mix up he had previously told me he was taking 15 gm of d3 I assumed it was daily. I'm on 2000iu per day.
Too much D3 can calcify blood vessels. Taking multiple grams of the stuff daily is moronic.
I generally dose 5,000iu a day in the winter as I try to battle SAD with Ohio winters. I wouldn't hesitate taking 10,000ius either but wouldn't go above that daily.
And people, D3 is measured in IU's not grams. Come on now
There's a thread on Vitamin D on the front page of the Supplement Science section right now. Looking like its a waste to supplement with it in terms of getting any gains in the gym out of it
