    Omeprazole (Prilosec) and DAA

I'm taking omeprazole (20mg Prilosec) on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. About to start DAA, and wanted to take it at the same time. Any issues with that combo, since the former is an acid-reducer?

There is no issue. The "acid" that Omeprazole refers to is stomach acid.

The above is my own opinion and does not reflect the opinion of PES

Prilosec really saved my life. I use to eat then get really nauseous and now all is better after it+ some. Gut health and probiotic protein.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, I read that it hinders mineral uptake, and that it's important to supplement with calcium citrate over calcium carbonate. I take my cal/mag supplement about 12 hours apart from the omeprazole.

Hey, are either of you taking it long-term... or just the 2 or 4-week treatments? Doc prescribed it for 90 days with 3 more refills.

I have been on it for as long as I can remember. It is necessary for me; I have some bad acid issues.

I've read that as long as it's not mag salicylate, it's G2G. Mine is an oxide/aspartate combo.
