    Transgendered Male Supplement Advice??


    Hey Guys,
    Just joined this forum, lots of awesome advice. I am Transgendered which means I transitioned from female to make. I'm looking for some supplement advice. I've been working out 1.5 yrs got some good gains and I currently cycle creatine. Take OP 100% whey. And vitamins. I'm pretty well knowledged in exercises and such but I'm always too nervous to experiment with big stuff but I'm looking into pre workouts and bcaas. Things to advance my muscle gains and my performance since I'm kind of behind in life.

    Welcome,
    Eating clean and lifting big are the two most important things you can do.
    A good multi and fish oil are important.
    I would stay away from test boosters and pro hormones, as I'm sure your doctor has you on a very specific hormone replacement therapy.
    I've had great success with beta alanine, agmatine and citruline malate.
    First and primarily eat big , lift big.

    I'm with Todd, not knowing what else your on I'd stick with the basics. Creatine is always hands down a good thing to take, there's less expensive protein out there you don't have to shell out for ON protein. But look into Citrulline Malate, Agmatine, Creatinol-O-Phosphate, and Leucine preworkout. Fish oil is always a good supplement if your not taking in enough in your diet. But other than that i dunno what else to advise.

    Have you been prescribed hormones for the transition?

    Giving us more information about where you're at in the process could help quite a bit. Of course if it's not something you're comfortable with going into detail publicly I'm sure many people would be willing to through pm. Or we could just simply advise you on basic supplementation.

    Well i take testosterone cyp 200/ml .5cc weekly. I take a multi vitamin, fish oil, vitamin c and then panothetic acid for acne tho. I just feel like I do work hard and I don't expect to be huge just yet, but I feel like I'm missing something. I'm hoping supplements may just give me that extra push I'm looking for. I'm willing to give any info needed for some advice.

    Currently I'm doing two protein shakes a day, around the 1800cal mark overall, I eat tuna n chicken red meats whole grains fruits veggies etc. no sweets. I don't count every single Macro, carbs, sugar, fats and so one. I just try to keep my fats down, not a lot of processed foods, and eat protein at every meal and snack. is counting Macros beyond important in this journey? I just eat clean with no crap involved and try to keep it fresh as much as possible.

    Your not going to get big muscle gains on 1800 cals a day. Cant have it both ways. You can stay slim and do what your doing or up the cals and get bigger stronger.

    I agree, judging by your avatar, you need to start eating like you mean it.
    I'd try to get between 2500-3000 calories a day to start, and after a week adjust accordingly.

    The fact that you have transgendered does not change the fact that many aspects of your physical body will be limited to your birth gender. What I mean is - don't expect to become a big strong man unless of course you go to extremes with androgens. You still have the bones, tendons and muscles of a female. I mean no offense.

    This makes sense, but i would think the test cyp would make a big difference as woman bodybuilders seem to respond really well to low levels of androgens.

    Ya but they aren't "big" by man standards. They aren't 225lb's lean, etc.

    Very true, but on the flip side it is a lot of these things that makes women look extremely big, at lower bodyweights. The small joints, etc. A lean 150-160lb woman can look absolutely massive.

    Height, Weight, bf% (if known), and training experience?

    I completely agree with you. I think there are certain aspects that can be advantageous to the final look that is being progressed towards. Smaller joint are a huge plus when it comes to total mass on a frame. Likewise, he may be a bit on the shorter side, which can also bode well for appearing larger at a lesser bodyweight.

    Currently I am 156 5'5" don't know the body fat but I don't have a six pack so I'm def not low! Would 2500cals still be too much bc I was taking a gainer that put me around that amount but I felt as though I was getting fat rather then gaining muscle. I truly think I know a good amount for being so young into it 1.5 yrs but I'm still learning how to apply what I think I know to my actual body.

    I would wager both of those, are taking above replacement doses of test, and/or other stuff.

    I am sure you are going to find most of us are pretty ignorant to your situation. I mean "technically" since you are on for life, and masculinization isn't a concern, you can "blast and cruise", but quite honestly, I am not sure if there are other repercussions I am not even aware of.

    I try to explain this to these barbarians on here all the time, regarding MEN with smaller frame/bone structure, who are also medium in height....170-190 on a small frame (like 6" or 6 1/2" wrists or so) at ~5' 8" looks just as impressive or more impressive than the larger guy, especially when the smaller guy is in single digit BF and the larger guy probably is not. the smaller joints + decent amounts of muscle + low BF = you look "big"...despite having a sub-200 BW....of course this is even more true on women as you mentioned....but it applies to smaller framed men as well...

    Haha I'm not pulling anybody leg! Lol these are real guys around my height completely dedicated to the sport. But I don't blame u being suspicious. If you're bored, google Buck Angel. Of course he's a porn start and not a good representation of a transgendered male bc we don't act like him, it's someone who is out and you can do as much examination as you please.

    On the other side, I know small guys, trans or not, can get big and I appreciate the respect I have been given from some people on this forum on trying to get there.

    I don't expect people to know about it but I do know they cannot under medical care continue hormones if your levels are abnormally high. This is something checked every 6 months by a dr through blood work. So the chances they are using more then needed are very slim.

    You are pretty naive then..lol

    The whole point of blasting and cruising, is to bring hormones down to where Dr's "want" to see them before testing.

    If one were to test every 6 months they could run a 3-4month cycle, return to HRT doses for 2 months(or less), and test at the appropriate testosterone levels. This is nothing new.

    Well I guess this is true. I don't abuse my hormones so I don't know what blasting and cruising is. I could assume they are taking more then recommended or I can use them as a goal in life and use it in a more positive way.
