Mum and high cholesterol

My mum recently went to the doctors and got her cholesterol checked. It came back as high and the doctor wanted to put her on statins but said they'd try the diet route first, all the doctor said was to cut out fat from her diet. (Because its so evil)There's a history of high cholesterol in the family already so I wouldn't put it down to her life style. I wouldn't say she's majorly overweight either. She's always cooked the family meals from fresh too. I've got her cooking with coconut oil now too. Shes started going to exercise classes, cardio machines/circuit kinda stuff.Looking for some advice on what supplements can help her reduce her cholesterol. I looked at krillipid but the site it was on looked like the very first label and I don't know if it would still be good. Anyone got any advice?

Red yeast rice extract and pslium husk fiber is good choices. I think it was 500-800 mg of red yeast rice a day and 25-50g of pslium husk fiber spreadout the day.

I'll look into the RYR, AI Sports life support might be the way to go. Not sure if she'll like the sound of the pslium husk fiber but i can try cheers!

I've been told that RYR does not work because of the FDA stepping in and the statin like derivative is removed from the supplement.

look into iForce Heart Help, which uses Bergamonte (extracts from Citrus Bergamia Risso) to help lower bad (LDL) cholesterol, raise good (HDL) cholesterol, overall healthy blood triglyceride levels, and it helps maintain stable blood sugar levels. seems like the type of product that would definitely benefit your mom. That and a quality fish oil should definitely help improve her levels

Ryr no longer contains the statin it used to, as such it will do nothing.

The active in HeartHelp is clinically proven to work on the other hand.

1500mg of Enduracin per day lowered total and ldl cholesterol by 10.3 and 13.1% respectively.

your mom could really benifit form heart help. Heart help helps lower LDL while increasing will increase good cholesterol.

Isn't the ingredient in heart help considered a Statin?. I thought I read mr.cooper69 post that.

2-3g EPA/DHA + Heart Help = should help out quite a bit.

That I am not aware of, so I won't say either way. I do not recall reading a statement by m coop on that topic, but I could have easily missed it.

Regardless OP, heart help did wonders for me, with truly, no side effects.

It acts in the same fashion as a statin, however presents none of the side effects commonly associated with statins like lipitor.
