I know guys who have been in med school who have used lemon juice so that they aren't overpowered by the smell of the cadavers. They would just squirt a liberal amount in their mouth before going in the room. You could carry one of those plastic lemon juice containers with you. Like lemons?

When we do post-mortem analyses at the veterinary clinic that I work at, everyone in the room (including the veterinarian) chews spearmint gum. It works like a charm.

Harping on the spearmint; when my grandfather still ran his farm, in order to not gag at the smell when cleaning the pig sty he would carry around spearmint leaves and just shove em in his nose. Spearmint works wonders. Also, you could learn to breathe in through your mouth more. I know its not what you were looking for, but its the best I got. Where in RI you work?

Wash all the kids in lemon juice and give them all a piece of spearment gum to chew or just do it the old fassion way. Put a closepin on your nose
