Casein Protein Bad for your health
I know this Bodybuilder that trains in our gym, I talked to him about Casein and he said casein is a bad quality protein that puts too much stress on your liver and kidneys and that's why it's slow digestion...
and also jay cutler wakes up everynight and drinks a whey protein shake so I guess something is on with casein

Dr. Dean Ornish replied to a question and stated this about
casein from dairy products:
"Also, there is some evidence from studies indicating that
animal protein -- particularly casein, which is found in dairy
(including nonfat dairy) -- may promote some forms of cancer,
at least in animals. At Cornell University, for example, Dr.
T. Colin Campbell and his colleagues have found that casein is
a strong promoter of tumor growth. Other studies have shown
that casein helps promote the growth of coronary artery
blockages in animals."

Its just a protein source, just have some whole food protein with some veggies and healthy fats to slow digestion before bed and be done with the protein arguments. To mush attention to detail.

Casein is a protein source - that's all. By the time your liver and kidneys see it - it is really no different from any other protein.

Dr. Dean Ornish has good intentions, but he is also a proponent of vegan diets, so of course he wants to attack milk based protein sources. The problem with these studies is that it is near impossible to say it is just drinking milk that causes these cancers since we don't know what causes cancer. Also, most times the subjects have horrible diet practices so you can really pick anything in their diet and find a correlation between that and cancer risk or artery blockage since they were already at risk by being obese.
I personally have not seen any studies that are going to make me stop using whey or casein, but if you are worried about it, then don't use it. Simple as that.

It gives me the farts pretty bad. I like Whey. I've used Casein before and its not worth the price to me. I used to use ON 100% brand vanilla flavor and mix it with some natural PB. Really good...

Lol, of course casein triggers tumor growth - amino acids stimulate mTORC1 which results in cell growth and proliferation. That's part of why you eat and it holds true whether the cell is healthy or cancerous, but it DOES NOT mean that casein CAUSES cancer.

Hey let's put a call into the US Senate and see if we can get the **** banned out of Casien?
It prolly wouldn't be too hard! LOL
