MSTs V02: extra stuff

Hey All:

I'm running Millenium's VO2 right now. I've run Cordygen O5 which was helpful: I know Poison is a massive fan of this stuff.

Noticed in VO2 had additional ingredients...
1. salts - no problem,
2. Rhodiola - not keen on this being here at all. If I wanted it I'd supplement it. In case you are wondering ... you might argue its an adaptogen but really its a mild antidepressant.
3. Jiaogulan. I'd never heard of this. The wiki says its a Chinese longevity herb. :dunno: It also raises a headache*

I don't think this board would know Jiaogulan - but loads here have experience of MST Cordyceps range. How do you think V02 stands against the rest of this product range?

* if there's a supp I dunno I like to try it standalone: the exception is Cordyceps because MST is hands down the best prep. Chinese herbs are a headache 'cause although I could buy them I can't guarrantee the quality - which is why I like MST.

for the rhodiola, it possesses more than what you listed, but I can see why someone would want to supplement it separately if they chose.

as for jiaogulan, also known as gynostemma, http://www.gynostemma.org/
I apologize if the link is illegal, but provides a good quick summary.

I'll let others describe how it rates amongst others in its category

Thanks for the link, I welcome it. Gynostemma looks good I understand the history behind it now. The wiki is also useful.

The thing I realized with this product .... for 80 days supply (nearly 1/2 year at half dose) its cheap. Hmm... that covers up alot of discontentment :)

Okay how much Cordyceps is in VO2 compared to Cordygen5?

With some supplements I'll buy first and figure it out later, which is what I did here.

I have to look at the labels again, I believe the c5 has more total ceps, but its a slower release, whereas the cvo2 has less yet it kicks in quicker. again, lemme double check the labels....

Sorry MST its a fair question.

Cordyceps extract:
VO2 > Cordygen5
or
Cordygen5> VO2
Matthias, rhodiola has a ton of benefits outside mood. It increases ATP, it's a potent adaptogen, it increases the total amount of workload you can do, it has anti-hypoxia effects, etc. My understanding is you're good for around 6 weeks of supplementation before it starts to lose effectiveness.

Obviously, its awesome stuff. Jiogulan is also awesome stuff, great benefits. That being said, I prefer C5. On paper V02 should be just as good for my purposes, but it's not, maybe because C5 has such a massive dose of Cordyceps. C5 is the ****.

Thanks Poison looking into it ... the labels back up your comments.

MSTs Cordyceps is propriatory but the labels are informative.

Looking at this MST is coming with some VERY competitive prices. I just buy stuff and consider later whether I'll use it long term...
Look at this:
MyoGreen - I'm running this right now / superb antioxidant = $18
CordycepsO5 (90 caps) = $22.49
However .... Ultra Cordygen V02 (120 V02 Caps) = $29.99*

* what I've got. I thought I'd 240 caps and there was 80 servings - in fact I am sure of it. The stuff on Nutra's website is half that amount :( .... That is something I'd like MST to look into please? That does make a difference :( :(

Okay VO2 is using Cordyceps extract rather than straight Cordyceps.

Cordygen5:
Proprietary Blend of Concentrated Extracts:
Cordyceps Sinensis Alohaensis Hybrid
Cordyceps Sininsis CS-4
Cordyceps Militaris
Cordyceps Sobolifera
Cordyceps Ophioglossoides

and there's alot of it and its cheaper.

Okay I guess long term Cordygen5 it is (and MyoGreen). Can you look into the VO2 80 vs. 40 servings .. its a bit weird.

I'm pretty sure MST discontinued the 240 cap bottle.

:( Thanks Poison, oh well...

MST should really sponsor Poison's Cordyceps usage, then again perhaps his buying power is supporting their share price ;)

I too have noticed that Poison is one of MST's biggest fans, and I don't think he's a rep!

I wil say though, that I wish someone would make a high quality cordy bulk powder. I really like being able to judge how effective each ingrediant I put in my body is.

Poison is not a rep, but he is a very intelligent man who happens to enjoy high quality supplements. He also produces a very high quality coffee and should be bought by everyone who enjoys a good cup of java.

As for what you put in your body...if you order Cordygen 5 then you will know that the oxyceps ATP blend is all you'll be getting, and that's all you'll ever need. If you want the other goodies then you can roll on to items like v02 ultra, Citruvol, Cre-02, etc.....but for all Cordy all the time, it's Cordygen 5.

This'll come off as a newb question, and it's really only relevant if you've used both products, but: I recently used AN's drive and loved the cardio endurance aspect of it, which I deem to be primarily from the cordyceps; has anyone here run both, and does cordygen 5 have any tangible benefits beyond cardiovascular endurance?

I don't wish to get into a debate on our products versus other companies products, so i'll let others answer that for you. all I can say is you can get samples at our website to find out for yourself what the raving is about.

other than cardio endurance you can add to that list greater oxygen uptake, natural testosterone support, enhancing your fat burning capability, immune/adrenal support....and many many more reasons as to why Cordygen 5 is the product that it is.

....did I mention it's United States patented?

Fair enough. I know he's not a rep. I was afraid that would sound sarcastic. You guys should team ith Nutra and make a Cordygen bulk powder. I mean, "all Cordy all the time" is really what I whant. I whant this stuff to build up in my system, and I don't whant to pay for pill fillers.

i love the VO2 and the extra's from chinese medicine,

i am, in the same way matthias7 is a bit depressed now that the 240 size bottle is d/c. it was such a better deal that helped me attract to buying it in the first place.

been to china 4 times by the way, cordyceps is really expensive, the quality ones can fetch for $500-$1,000 usa dollars for a package.

I'm not a rep, so I'll comment. Delicately, as I love both companies. Drive is a very good product, stacks great with RPM. But NOTHING, no product, no cordyceps touches Cordygen5 for endurance. Period. I've tried bulk from reputable sources, other cordyceps products, the studied CS4 strain, even other MST products, and not a single one beats Cordygen5 at the cordy game. Pure cardiovascular nirvana.

$20 for a bottle of C5. 3 caps a day, spread out on off days, 2 morning 2 pre-workout on workout days (or all 3 pre-workout). A bottle lasts a full month at that dosing. You don't need more than 3 caps, really, that's a whopping dose. That's CHEAP for such a freaking effective supp.

Not to expensive, I guess, although I am a pore pore perspn who keeps his Nutra supplament orders at around 50-60$ a month. I just noticed that Cordygen 5 has dissapeared from Nutra?

Appreciate all of the comments in here. I had no idea C5 was so inexpensive. ::sigh:: Looks like I'm going to have to give it a go pretty soon, perhaps once I'm done my tub of ultima.

I didn't say V02 was nothing, it's still the same cordyceps. It's good, but IMO C5 is better.
