Has anyone run this for a decent amount of time with any results? What was your dosage?

Well, I haven't ran this solo, but it has been in a few products I have used in the past.

I did not select the products based on the inclusion of DIM, and for good reason, as it's effectiveness for its purported effects are controversial.

I run about 50 mg per day for estro conversion help. Seems to do the job as my nipples aren't as puffy as they used to be. Libido-wise, hard to say as I haven't noticed too much.

I3C is way more effective. Go with that.

Have you ever used higher dosages? I was thinking of running 300mg a day. Some articles I found said around 300mg a day for athletes or people training is good.

Used this in Diesel Test Hardcore, Beast SuperTest, and Goliath Labs Tribuloid. Extremely effective in recomposisition of the body. In addition, it will help clear up any flare of gyno you may have. Leans you out. Helps with muscle hardness. A little bit goes a long way in trimming down estrogen levels.

One of the more under the radar, underappreciated supplements out there. Do not overdose this. You simply don't have to and you need a little estrogen. Doesn't really help (or hinder) libido in my experience.

Hope this helps.

seriously, go with I3C. The whole DIM vs I3C debate gets repeated and rehashed on here in depth every few months, and I3C always comes out on top.

http://anabolicminds.com/forum/nutraplanet/110179-i3c-dim-caps.html

http://anabolicminds.com/forum/post-cycle-therapy/36056-dim-estrogen-control.html

The main reason that DIM is so popular over I3C is that this guy Dr. Zelig promotes it like mad, because he owns some patent on it. The person to believe is Dinoiii.

I was about to post that this guy does seem biased. I3C is a precursor to DIM though, wouldn't that cut down the process it requires for I3C to be effective or no? There are however more human trials on I3C then DIM.

DIM trials not completed.

More I3C trials completed however the one on estrogen metabolism is still in the works.

The thing that sucks about all this is that we have had such great discussions about these two compounds over the years on this board, but it's nearly impossible to find them because of the search engine's inability to search for three letters. A lot of cool stuff is just buried, there's SO many things that we refer to in three letter codes.

Yea, I completely agree. When I searched I came up empty. That's why I typed out the whole word in hopes of a good discussion. On another forum one guy swears by I3C and does think that DR. is biased cause of his patent. While another guy had blood work from DIM and it did well to control his estrogen levels.

Oh, there's no question that DIM works, it's just that I3C seems so much better. I tend to push the whole thing because people like that Zelig character drive me nuts with their propaganda.

I definetly agree with a little bit goes a long way when controlling estrogen. You still need some. Blocking it completely will cause negative effects. Do you know if taking it once a day would break down estrogen all day long or would you have to take it multiple times a day too keep estrogen metabolism going?

Dr. Zelig doesn't own the patent on DIM it's a natural substance in can't be patented. However, Dr. Zelig makes a more bioavailable version or so he says. DIM is already easily absorbed and dosen't need to be made into a more bioavailabe version. However, Dr. Zelig sites a lot of research that supports the use of DIM over I3C. I have used them both and they both work well. DIM however is twice as strong as I3C. I personally take 200 mg of DIM twice daily and have for many years.

some folks believe the best route here is eating lots of cruciferous veggies

You would have to eat about 4 lbs of cruciferous veggies every day to get enough I3C to do any good.

Live Search will let you search for 3 letters. It only looks through topic titles and not actual posts, though.

Could you share your experience with first I3C and then DIM? What are the effects that you have noticed? Any blood work as well? Please post your results if your going to say it works or not. Some more details guys. Thanks ;)

Apologies for resurrecting such and old thread but I've been searching around for an answer to the question of this thread and have not been able to find a definitive answer anywhere from a dependable source. Anecdotal reports are fine but does DIM really work as well as an AI like Aromasin? Can anyone give a dependable reference with data? Thanks.

After two months on TRT I had morning wood issues and could not even get it up because my estrodial levels were so high. I did not want to lean towards AI until I knew the OTC stuff didn't work. The Vitamin shoppe rep recommended I take Dim-plus by natures way and liv 52 to cleanse the liver. I would take 3 capsules of DIM-plus and 1 capsules of liv52 three times a day with food. In three days my morning wood was back and I could finally get it up.

Reminds me of Vitex, which my wife takes. It doesn't work like an AI, but more of a balancing of hormones in general.

It's more of an estrogen channeling agent. It channels estrogen into it's weaker moabites E1 and E3. It's not as strong as a good AI. It would take a lot on-cycle to be effective. It works well off cycle however.

Lol, 3 days of DIM crushed estradiol that was way out of range? Come on...
