SAM-e, St. Johns Wort and 5-HTP

Can SAM-e, St. Johns Wort and 5-HTP all be used together in the same day? I pose this question because there have been 2 times I have gotten severe headaches and a couple other times I have gotten minor headaches when all dosed in the same day. I have reason to believe it is the timing and amount being dosed which creates some sort of negative effect because those days I got the headache, each dosing was close together. I’m just looking for your input here and if anyone has experienced anything similar. I’m thinking it just needs to be spaced out farther apart. Thoughts?
 
I do nto know. i do know sam-e is a great all around mood enhancer, good for joints, and some other benefits

All 3 of those sups are used for mild depression.I would consult a doctor before messing with anyone of those let alone all three....JMO good luck.

And thats exactly why I was concerned with the type of medication you may be taking, definitely consult a doctor, regardless of taking medication or not.
 
I wouldnt use the 3 together. If u go for one id start with the 5-htp.

I'm not on any medications. I have just felt I guess you could say depressed for a while now and I'm not one to just get a dr prescribed prescription without sourcing natural ways.

I appreciate everyones input here. Looks like a call to my dr for a direct answer to my question would be in order. Thanks guys.
 
I don't think there is a big problem here. You can just try one and see what happens.

'Happy pills' I think combine 5HTP with St John's wort. I don't think Sam-e is a big mood enhancer - I could be wrong.

You might simply be experiencing sides from St John's wort. If so it'll probably wear off. No one is quite sure what is in St John's wort so be very careful if you are taking any prescription stuff.
