Low Dose Viagra as a vascular supp

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had experimented with doses of Sildenafil Citrate (Viagra) for a workout. I know L-Arginine is sometimes used for weight lifting, because it results in vasodilation, Im thinking Viagra would result in more effective vasodilation (its effect is not limited to the penis).

Sildenfil is also marketed under the brand name Revatio for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. The result is dilation of the pulmonary arteries, as we know this results in increased bloodflow, allowing nutrients for the muscles that need them. Revatio dosage is 20 mg three times a day, while the usual viagra dose is either 50 or 100 mg.

No doubt if it were plausible, Viagra is expensive, about 20 bux a pill or $10 through a Canadian pharmacy.
Just a thought.

Going to work out pretty expensive as a pre-workout supp and I would be worried about getting an erection while training. You might get some strange looks when you are standing up while doing deadlifts and an erection poking out :toofunny:

Viagra help more for the endurance side of things. It will open your lungs up and give you a greater 02/co2 exchange but is not a good product if you are looking for a pump.

I originaly used viagra to improve oxygen uptake, when i was getting ready for a sport last year. It may have helped but its hard to say. How ever I did notice viagra stopped me from getting cramps! Since then I now use yohimbe hcl low dose of viagra or cialis before a w/o. With the small doses taken(viagra 5-20, yo.hcl 1-5), i don't notice much of a pump over what i have felt without the combo.

The mechanism of action of Sildenafil citrate involves the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. NO binds to the receptors of the enzyme guanylate cyclase which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), leading to smooth muscle relaxation (vasodilation) of the intimal cushions of the helicine arteries, resulting in increased inflow of blood and an erection.

Couldn't you just take Arginine and drop the boner? Someone enlighten me why spending extra money on this is worth it!

I would not use an ED prescription for vascularity when there's things like arginine, citrulline, norvaline and others out there. It's cheaper & safer. Get a good pump product like White BLOOD or bulk arginine.

I get mine cheap.
Unless you are getting it for free, how could you get it cheaper than $5-10. I would just rather take something that i can take in larger doses. God knows how long you would have a boner if you took 5g of Viagra! You also might be tempted to fornicate!
