Hi there,
I'm a total hack when it comes to this stuff, but I have a question regarding soy isoflavones.
I understand that they lower serum DHT through inhibition of the 5a-reductase enzyme, but I understand that they also inhibit 3a-HSD. Wouldn't the latter lead to more DHT through the inhibition of its breakdown into 5a-androstane-3a,17b-diol? I ask b/c I wonder if the DHT-raising effects of creatine or green tea might be rendered more anabolic through the suppression of 3a-HSD through the intake of soy isoflavones.
Can anyone set me straight?
