So first I just want to thank muscleResearch for the opportunity to be able to log this for them.
Lets start with the niceties, for those that know me. You know what I been through the last few years. For those that don't; I am a medically retired US Army Infantryman with tours in Iraq (2004-2005) & (2007-2008), and Afghanistan (2009).
I received a Purple Heart in Iraq in 2007, and from what those doctor's thought where minor injuries. In 2009 I received a second Purple Heart in Afghanistan and found out the real extent of my injuries. In 2007 in Iraq I actually broke my neck C2-C3 fused and disc gone and L3-L5 buldging against my spine from being blown through a wall dismounted from a vehicle by an I.E.D., and 2009 I had maxofacial reconstruction after my vehicle was blown up in Afghanistan. They retired me from the Army in 2011. From 2009-2015 I listened to the doctors and didn't lift anything heavy, and I just ate and drank very heavily. I was 158 lbs, and carried about 12%bf in the Army.
The doctors told me I would walk with a cane, and eventually end up in a wheelchair. After seeing a pic my wife took of me (I was 212 lbs in this pic):
I decided something needed to be done. So started my 2 year journey to recovery I got back into the gym, and have been off my cane for about 1 1/2 yrs. now.
This is my last 2 years:
And this is me as of today:
I'd like to invite Young Gotti, love2liftkat, MidwestBeast, TheMovement, yates84, Caldwood, thebigt, thorsdad31, CorpKiller, macedog24, bighulksmash, Godstrength, FireTitan, hugojaya to follow along and enjoy the ride. As well as anyone else.
