Well boys it's that time of year to start thinking about grilling, beer drinking, and perving on some fat chicks at the beach... all of which requires us to look good with our shirts off. It's time for me to lose the gut and so get back into doing regular cardio...
For those of you that know me, I fcking detest cardio (and stretching, which I find feminine). I completely quit doing all cardio through the winter and just started adding in regular LISS cardio a few times a week maybe a month or so ago. Also, I've been doing HIIT 1-2 times a week after my chest/back sessions and have been trying to add more rounds of sprints. At the moment, my HIIT is performed on a broken (no power) elliptical and consists of 2 mins of warm up, followed by 5-8 rounds of sprints (20 secs of max effort: 40 secs light jog). I actually haven't been able to get more than 5 rounds of sprints since I started doing HIIT again a few weeks ago; also, shortly after I perform HIIT I get exercise induced asthma attacks and need to use my inhaler, which I never use. I'm hoping that the Cordygen will help out here...
I'd also like to drop 10-12 lbs over the next 6 wks...
Stats: I'm 36, 5'9" and 181lbs ~20%BF (noodz for Studhorse will follow)
Strategy: I'm going to carb cycle for the next week or so then possibly (probably) go into a CKD. I'll shoot for ~2,200 kcals to start and will reduce to 1,800 if progress is too slow...
I follow a 3 on 1 off split doing fasted cardio on my off days.
1. Chest/Back/HIIT
2. Arms/Shoulder
3. Legs/Lower Back
4. 45 mins fasted LISS
5. Repeat
I try to hit abs every other day. I also walk 2 miles before I go to bed most nights.
I plan on logging my workouts, daily weight, and diet; hopefully I'll get some feedback/advice in the process...
I'd like to thank habajaba for this opportunity to try out Cordygen-Nano2 Elite!!! I've been interested in the OG version and am excited for this run.
Kick off is tomorrow and it will be a rude awakening for me as I've been drinking heavily and popping pain killers all weekend.
