Sunday 3/26/2017

Today is day 1. Dosed 2 caps on empty stomach with morning coffee.

I have been using nootropics for 3 years now and have used everything in Nootropimax except for Sceletium tortuosum..

The South African endemic plant Sceletium tortuosum has a long history of traditional use as a masticatory and medicine by San and Khoikhoi people and subsequently by European colonial farmers as a psychotropic in tincture form. Over the past decade, the plant has attracted increasing attention for its possible applications in promoting a sense of wellbeing and relieving stress in healthy individuals and for treating clinical anxiety and depression. The pharmacological actions of a standardized extract of the plant (Zembrin) have been reported to be dual PDE4 inhibition and 5-HT reuptake inhibition, a combination that has been argued to offer potential therapeutic advantages. Here we tested the acute effects of Zembrin administration in a pharmaco-fMRI study focused on anxiety-related activity in the amygdala and its connected neurocircuitry. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, cross-over design, 16 healthy participants were scanned during performance in a perceptual-load and an emotion-matching task. Amygdala reactivity to fearful faces under low perceptual load conditions was attenuated after a single 25 mg dose of Zembrin. Follow-up connectivity analysis on the emotion-matching task showed that amygdala-hypothalamus coupling was also reduced. These results demonstrate, for the first time, the attenuating effects of S. tortuosum on the threat circuitry of the human brain and provide supporting evidence that the dual 5-HT reuptake inhibition and PDE4 inhibition of this extract might have anxiolytic potential by attenuating subcortical threat responsivity.

I will stop using my NA Semax, PRL 853 and Pheylpiractam/armodafinil for the 1st 2 weeks. I want to see what sceletium tortuosum does for improvements in cognitive function.

There is alot of info here and I have not read through it all yet. https://www.google.com/patents/US8980338
Today is day 2 and dosed agian with morning coffee. Nothing to report.
What did your normal stack look like before starting this log? How often did you take the Semax, PRL, phenylpiracetam, Armodafinil? Also, what did you do these two days? Work, classes, study, go out, etc?

The whole nootropic thing really intrigues me. I started researching and using them about 2 years ago. I started with the basics ALCAR, Choline Bitartrate, herbals and my 1st racetam was Piracetam. It was just a matter of testing them on myself and seeing which ones actually worked for me.

My perfect stack would be:

A. SEMAX or noopept for to boost my creativity and concentration.I am able to perceive colors and objects in HD fashion. I really like Semax vs noopept

B. PRL853 for the memory boost

It helps me to memorize information better and provides noticeable increases in ability to recall information. Here is an example. I am doing a kitchen bid proposal and going over all the different finishes. Instead of constantly looking at my notes, I am able to I remember almost all of ideas. The best part about this is my client notices this too. After trying different dosages, I now use 10mgs. It kicks in quick and taste horrible.

C. Phenylpiracetam, Modafinil, Armodafinil to boost mental focus.

I use NA Semax spray at 300mcg Monday-Friday
PRL853 is used twice per week
Phenylpiracetam 1 x week
Armodafinil 2 x week

Also, what did you do these two days? Work, classes, study, go out, etc?
Yesterday was a day to relax. I am a sub contractor and I do mostly interior remodels.

I'm glad that nootropics are something you're passionate about and interested in; I think that'll make this log more interesting.

A lot of feedback on NootropiMax is that it really shines when you're doing something, not just sitting around. Granted, there's nothing wrong with using it when you're just relaxing and/or lounging around, and it works best with continued/daily use, but users seem to report that they really notice the benefits/effects of NootropiMax when they do something that requires at least some basic level of thinking. It doesn't have to be doing complex math, studying, etc (although it's great for that); it could be as simple as playing some video games or playing ping pong (which users have done) doing some sort of puzzle-type activity, doing some research or trying to learn something new in your spare time, doing some writing/debating online or in person, etc.

I am glad to mentioned this. A test I did with prl was a memory test. Take 2 suites of cards from 2 to Ace. Spread them out and match pairs. There are 26 cards with 13 pairs. My best was all 13 in19 tries with PRL853. I am going to try this with NootropiMax.

I do blackjack at casino, poker night, and shoot pool. So lets see how it works on these nights.

Ok, so I signed back into the Cambridge Brain Sciences website to check it out (the format has changed a bit since I've been on it last). Anyway, when you sign up (it's free; I don't see a need to pay for the extra features), you have the option of taking a daily challenge. This challenge is viewable on your dashboard and can be taken once a day. It's a few different tests that they use to give you a daily "C-Score." Right now, these scores are being compared to over 75,000 people who took these tests on the old website. Anyway, it doesn't take more than a few minutes. There likely is some sort of familarization, where your scores will go up a bit with practice as you get used to the tests and certain strategies for them. Ideally, you probably would have wanted to get a baseline and famaliarized yourself with the tests a bit before you started taking the supplement, that way you can more reliably attribute improvements to the supplement, but it's not a big deal, as scores on cognitive tests are far from the only thing that NootropiMax will help with, and definitely not the only thing you'll notice. I just took today's challenge today, and my C-Score was in the 97th percentile, and I haven't taken these tests in about a year or so, and I took the tests while watching Dragon Ball Z Abridged on my phone (it's hilarious if you're a DBZ fan). :)

I will be registering there this weekend and I will do the daily challenge. I will also be doing their different tests on a regular basis as well.Time to put NootropiMax to the test.

3/29 Day 4

Today was a busy day and I decided to take 3 caps this afternoon at 1. I had 2 meetings with new clients. Both meetings went well. In addition to the focus I had, my presentation was great. I was able to connect well with both clients with my motivation for the work and the outcome of it. The noopept really helps with visualization and allowed me to explain everything better. Even the small details. Finally the closing which is where questions and answers are involved went well to. This again I attribute to the noopept. It seems 3 caps work quite well for me.My focus, motivation skills and creative skills were are better then normal today. This is due to Nootropimax.

Yea everyone is different, some are loving it at 1 caps but conversely for me I love it at 3 caps. With your extensive Nootropic use I am guessing 3 caps will be more of your sweet spot.

Welcome and feel free to post any questions you may have.

Actually 2 works great and has all the right doses of ingredients. For me 3 caps are great for days where I do presentations.

Thanks for the updates. Look foward to more. Ordered mine last night. Few questions. Are you using nootropimax strictly for your work? Are you going to try it before a workout? How long would you say the effect lasts?

Sorry for all the questions. Rather new to nootropics. About to finish my bottle of OxyMax XT. I dug it but the effect didn't last very long.

Great questions!! I am using it on a daily basis at the suggested dose of 2 caps with my morning coffee. I will only dose 3 caps on the days I do my presentations to my clients. It will be dosed an hour prior to my meeting. The effect will be different for everybody but for me I would say a good 2 hours after dosing.

Yes you can use it preworkout. Since I w/o at night, I will not use it preworkout I don't want it to keep me up all night.I am up and out the door by 630.

What I am going to do is break down 1 ingredient per day in this formula. I will post as much detail as possible. If you saw my earlier post, I will be posting my results from Cambridge Brain Sciences starting this weekend.

Check it out https://home.cambridgebrainsciences.com/

So stay tuned. We will go over ingredient #1 on Monday.

-Thank You,
JP

It's all good man, I hope all is well with your family. I'm looking forward to hearing your feedback. Have you been doing the Cambridge tests? I've been doing them a lot lately, and I've been doing quite well if I say so myself. :)

Sorry to your going through family issues man. I wish this product worked better for mitigating stress for me. It doesn't seem to help any in that regard. Anyway, I have been having decent focus improvements from just 1 cap. What has been your dosing method?

What happened here, looking for a final review?
I had to quit taking this because the My motivation was lost after day 14 and is made me sluggish.I found it harder to get up in the morning. I also had a hard time answering questions from clients. For example giving potential client some ideas for my project bid. I did quit taking my daily nootropics while using NootropiMax. SDo I know it was the Bacopa Monnieri.

I have 1/2 the bottle left and I can return to you. PM me address

It seems that your initial experiences were favorable, and on Day 16 you mentioned that you hadn't undated your log in a while due to family issues. Is it possible that these stressful family issues are contributing to this lack of motivation? I know that family issues and stress can take a heavy toll on motivation/energy/enthusiasm/etc. I'm not discrediting your feedback at all, just asking a question to get better insight. I'm also not saying that you should keep taking the supplement if you feel it isn't treating you well, but it seems, from what I've heard, although I don't have the whole picture, that there is a major outside variable that may be playing a role in how you are feeling.
