Prologue to my Pre Log.

A little about myself. I'm not one to use stims, so this will be interesting. I mostly administer caffeine through my morning pre workout routine 150-200mg (estimated content based on experience) and then a non-stim pre / post.

This is going to be an exploration into a fat burner containing a variety of ingredients of which I will research and share in this post. The more I read regarding the ingredients, the more enticed I am at the possibilities of how effective, or more effective of the often talked about ECA being used. One of my other supplements for my cut increases Ghrelin and makes me hungry. I like the idea of having my appetite suppressed as to gain(z) benefits from the IGF1 release from the other supplement. (Exotherm).

I see this as being a synergistic meeting of two worlds regarding fat burning potentialities. Since I am quite stim sensitive, I will be dosing with 1 cap to start, and see how I am affected by this dose and respond to the ingredients.

Some links to each ingredient from Examine.com or other sources.

Methylxanthines act as bronchodilators by relaxing bronchial smooth muscle and helps the constricted airways to dilate. The exact mechanism of action with regards to methylxanthine causing bronchodilatation is not well understood but it appears that methylxanthines inhibit the enzyme phosphodiesterase, which degrades cyclic AMP, so methylxanthines tend to increase the concentration of cyclic AMP.

Methylxanthines are bronchodilators used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

From Examine.com

Vitamin B-12
"Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) is a water-soluble Essential Vitamin or Mineral that is known to play roles in neurology."

https://examine.com/supplements/Vitamin+B12/

Vitamin B-3
"Niacin is an essential B-vitamin. Supplementation results in improved cholesterol and triglyceride levels. However, since a side-effect of supplementation is increased insulin resistance, niacin supplementation only provides benefits for cardiovascular health if precautions are taken."

https://examine.com/supplements/Vitamin+B3/

Vitamin B-6
"Vitamin B6 is one of the B-vitamins, used in producing a necessary coenzyme in the body. While essential and with many small benefits, there appear to be no highly effective unique reasons to use this supplement."

https://examine.com/supplements/Vitamin+B6/

Chromium
"Chromium is an essential mineral. It regulates glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. Supplementing more chromium than the body needs does not produce reliable results, but it may be associated with minor benefits to diabetics."

https://examine.com/supplements/Chromium/

Green Tea Extract (Leaves)
Really not sure on this one. ECGC?

Sandalwood Extract
Nothing on Examine.com for this.

1,3-Dimethylamylamine***
"1,3-DMAA is a neural stimulant with a structure similar to Ephedrine and adrenaline that has been used as a pre-workout stimulant. Not much information is available on 1,3-DMAA supplementation, and is no longer commonly sold as a supplement."

https://examine.com/supplements/1,3-Dimethylamylamine/

Sulbutiamine
"Sulbutiamine is a synthetic molecule which consists of two Thiamine (Vitamin B1) molecules bound together by a sulfur group, and appears to be somewhat useful in alleviating fatigue; especially that associated with infection"

https://examine.com/supplements/Sulbutiamine/

Yohimbe Extract (The only ***concern I may have is the pairing of an ephedrine like ingredient as warned from examine.com when researching ephedrine, and yohimbe.

"Yohimbine is a fat burning compound. Although effective, it may cause anxiety, it adversely interacts with many pharmaceuticals, and the labeled dose of supplements that contain it often does not match the actual dose."

https://examine.com/supplements/Yohimbine/

Alpha-Lipoic Acid
"ALA is a fatty acid that exists in the mitochondria and is involved in energy metabolism. Commonly taken with L-Carnitine supplements as they are related in mechanisms. ALA gives a short but potent reduction of oxidation by increasing anti-oxidant enzymes, and may decrease Blood Glucose acutely."

https://examine.com/supplements/Alpha-Lipoic Acid/

Poly-Thyronine
Not on Examine.com

Stay tuned. :D

That is. If that train could in fact lift weights it would be that little train that could! I loved that story. :)

My pop read that to me a lot.

While I wait for product shipping info. I will entertain the prelog with my current progress.

Maintaining 500 Below my maintenance calories again after a week above

I wanted to gain a little before my official 6-8 week cut.

Weight is now 208.5
Came down from 217 then back up to 209.5 for that seven days.

It felt good. I am still leaning out visually. I'm still growing and believe dropping body fat.

The mirror serves as my calipers for now.

Recap of goal for this cut is
190 lbs @ below 15%

It's achievable.
