Getting Legendary with Double S (C&P Log)

As always quick shout out to Wayne of C&P for allowing me to run this and of course Jaime, the owner. He was one of the first guests on my radio show. Great dude, balls to the wall mentality and attitude.
Quick stats – 43 yrs old, used to compete back in the day, joints aren’t what they used to be. Currently around 190, 15-16% BF.
My workouts are higher reps, again due to joint issues, more specifically shoulders and occasionally my knees. Days of going heavy are over and it is more keeping tone, perhaps some size and working on getting leaner.

Days of barbell bench pressing are few and far between so I get crafty and try work arounds.
I try to do cardio every workout. 10-15 minutes treadmill to warm things up and finish with another 15-25 minutes, brisk pace 4 mph.

Supps being used:
Legend 2caps a day, split dosage, morning and dinner
Generic BCAA
Cannibal Weight - Chocolate

Weds:

Chest/Quads combo
15 minutes cardio, start and 15 minutes at the end.

I take a barbell, wedge it in a corner of a squat rack and put weight on one side. On the weighted side, I palm the bar with both hands, kind of lean it on my chest and press up and outwards. Once the weight comes back down, I do a squat, ass to calves type of thing.
Did 5 sets of these.
5 sets of flat DB bench press, single arm. I do 2 continuous sets at a time, so I guess honestly doing 10 sets
4 sets of cable crossovers with rubber bands
5 sets leg extensions.


Thursday
So my son woke up early thus getting me up early so when in Rome time to workout.

20 minutes cardio and Arms, abs
Rubberband type of day
5 sets of individual curls
5 sets of hammers
3 sets reverse curls
Abs – 10 sets – Legs in the air crunches
5 sets oblique work, left hand/right knee…right hand/ left knee type of thing.

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the brief MIA, new job duties and such.

So this is the 6th day of Legendary. I have been taking 1 with Breakfast and 1 with Dinner. Blue caps are a little smaller than most, no GI/Stomach issues or discomfort. Can't quite say I am feeling much of a difference but perhaps as we continue things will change.

Workout today:

20 minutes Cardio watching 2 Broke Girls.

Back

5 sets of palms facing me pullups, body weight, between 6-8 reps

Modified barbell rows. Basically one end of a bar wedged in the corner of my squat rack, adding weights to other side and doing rows

55 x 8
65 x 8
65 x 6

Seated rubber band rows

5 sets, between 3-6 bands average of 15 reps.

I can say that my back is blown up to the point it actually hurts but of course not complaining.

Cannibal Weight review

Flavor Chocolate

When I started lifting many moons ago, never had any issues with proteins. Over the last few years as I entered my 40's. I started experiencing GI issues, bloating etc and equated this to many of the concentrates out there. Perhaps the amount of lactose that is in many concentrates now-adays.

I now only use Isolates which for the most part has eliminated stomach issues so I was quite excited to try Cannibal Weight "Insanely Pure Whey Isolate".

The chocolate is very good, almost tasting like the Carnation Instant Breakfast my Dad had me use back in the day, trying to put weight on me. It is smooth and not overpowering at all.

Mixability:

In a blender, no issues at all, while in a shaker bottle there were a few clumps that had to be worked out. Not a negative in my mind and as to be expected.

Applications:

I have put a scoop of this in my morning coffee (1/4 scoop)
Mixed with Water or Almond Milk (2 scoops)
Smoothie of Almond Milk, (2 scoops), Banana and spinach...yes spinach as I need my veggies.

At 24 gms of protein per serving, 4 gms of Carbs and 1.5 gms of fat this equates to roughly 29gms per scoop which is exactly what this is. This basically means no fillers, additives etc.

In closing - I have been very happy with the protein, again no stomach issues which is very important to me.

Is this a buy again for me? Heck yes!

I'm taking 2 caps but you can go up. It's personal preference.

The dosage for epi is 150 to upwards of 400mg.

The dosage for laxo is 50 to 150mg. 3 caps/ day would be pretty epic but 2 is where I would go.

Insomnia night......3:30 wake up call. Good thing is I am working from home today and get in a power nap. Never too old to take naps...

20 minutes of low intensity treadmill 3.8 mph - 20 minutes watching Hemlock Grove...if you like Supernatural type stuff like True Blood...definitely recommend it.

Over the stomach bug but now a bad head cold, which I can tolerate. Turned the heat on high in the basement in hope to sweat this bad boy out.

Review of Chaos and Pain’s (www.chaosandpain.com) brand new Whey Protein Isolate
Cannibal Weight.

I have always liked Chaos and Pain as a brand, first for their full disclosure labels and second, the owner’s no bull **** approach and true attention to quality and the really cool label designs sets them apart. He has never just rushed to the market to put out a product in hopes to keep up with what others are doing. And with Cannibal Weight, this is no different. I have tried other C&P Products in the past and was excited to try this one as well. As I have gotten older, I am more sensitive to concentrates, perhaps due to the higher lactose and have had best success with Isolates.

Cannibal Weight is predominantly a Whey Protein Isolate with no fillers, binders etc. How do I know this? When you add up all the macros on the label it pretty much matches the serving size. Big props for this. It comes in 3 flavors carnivorous chocolate, omnipotent orange and violent vanilla. I was fortunate enough to try the chocolate. I was kind of hesitant about trying an orange flavored protein but reviews I have seen are quite positive.

Flavor – Carnivorous Chocolate – mixed in Almond milk via blender, I found it very smooth, almost silky. Took me back to the days of using carnation instant breakfast (same type of flavor) when my Dad was trying to fatten me up.
Mixability – when using a shaker bottle and wire whisk ball there were some clumps, nothing crazy but my Nutra Bullet, powered right thru it to a creamy consistency.
Efficacy – hard to gauge if a protein is working or not as it truly is just adding protein and calories and overall replenishment to your system. I can tell you I had no stomach issues what-so-ever.
In closing, would I used this again? Most definitely. Continued success to C&P.
