Follidrex-For God, gains, and country

Friends and fellow iron-minded individuals. I hail from the steel city to set forth on a journey, albeit brief, as I put to the test a product with the widely talked about ingredient (-)-Epicatechin. The particular product is called Follidrex and hails from a company MDX Muscle that I admittedly know little to nothing about. That in itself is exciting because I have little to nothing as a basis for expectation.

Now what am I looking for? Well being as this is a supposed Myostatin Inhibitor I would have to say if this works the way it is claimed to, I should lose fat, gain muscle, and get stronger all at the same time. And I would also think that if this does inhibit myostatin that this effect should carry over for a while after I stop taking the product while my natural myostatin recovers. I could be wrong about this, I am just hypothesizing.

A little more about myself. I am 26 years old, been training since age of 19. Took a 6 month layoff from lifting in 2010 and a 9 month layoff in 2013. One because of being in training full time and the other for personal reasons. I came back to working out October of 2013 and haven't looked back since. My lifts were pathetic and I could only bench 225x3, I could only Squat 315 for a couple, ect. All of this at roughly 228 pounds.

Fast forward to today, I am now sitting at 216.6 pounds bodyweight. I hit a bench PR today at 365x1. My other maxes are 455 for squat and 545 for deadlift. I have no intention of ever quitting the game again and strongly desire to start competing in powerlifting in 2015

Tuesday was day 4 of Follidrex and I went for a back hypertrophy day that looked a little like this:

Lat Pulldowns (Wide) 160x12x4

Lat Pulldowns (Narrow) 160x12x4

Weighted Pullups +45x10x3

T-Bar Rows one armed for one plate and two plates sets of 10, two arms for 3,4,5 plates sets of 10.

Bent rows 225 5x5

DB Rows 100x12x4

Reverse Hypers 45x10x3

Light SLDL's

Pretty torched after this. Was going to do bi's but I work 16 tomorrow with a break in between to I am going to slam arms tomorrow.

I feel like I am getting a good vascularity and pump effect from Follidrex and that it is starting to help out in overall muscle fullness. Switching back from a 5x5 program I will see how my body adjusts to the higher volume load and how muscle soreness plays a role. I also feel thicker overall. I thought I might be getting fatter but my diet has stayed the same I just feel thicker overall. Something I will be keeping an eye on...

Friday had me resort to my 5x5 program for the day. I tinkered around Thursday with the hotel weight equipment but didn't really do anything of note. Friday was a lot of travel time but I wanted to pick up something heavy so I opted for 5x5 in the limited time I had when I got home.

Weight yesterday was 220 after being out of town for work for a couple of days. Woke up saturday at 218ish.

I haven't decided what to hit today yet at the gym, but I will provide a detailed one-week summary this weekend and sort of layout my thoughts for everyone. Also, on the plus side I don't think Ill be traveling for work this week and I won't be doubling out! A full week of workout focus and gainz is very much welcome!

Really came to see a friend off as he is leaving for school Friday so we did some work but kept it short and did some socializing.

Follidrex: So far so good with this compound. I am happy to say that I should have a lot more free time this week and plan on going higher volume and hitting it at least 4 days between Monday and Friday to finish up the two week run. Overall in the first week I am very happy with the full look that this is giving me. I think I look thicker, but really I FEEL thicker, in the arms, in the legs, ect. I also think its a harder, more cut look and perhaps this had something to do with my 20lb PR on squat this week? I failed at 495 but I might give that another shot before this run is over. Looking forward to what this week has in store for me!

Follidrex update.

Guys this Follidrex is really kicking in for me the past couple of days and I am going to outline why.

First off, I am feeling bigger throughout the day.

Second, the pump and vascularity I am getting on these higher volume workouts is getting ridiculous. Chest pump, tri pump, and especially shoulder and trap pump on the chest and tri day was way beyond what is normal. It felt like a pump that I get from PH's, but instead of just being "pumped" and full looking I look bigger but maintain a cut and lean look. I was seeing striations popping as well as veins in my shoulders and that's a wonderful result.

Third and I hope this doesn't get lost on everyone. My joints were sore as hell. Why is this important and show this product works to me? I have *ahem* my rat had tried a certain peptide form of myostatin inhibitor about a year and a half ago. I was getting a lot of the same effects, pump, feeling bigger, ect. But most noticeable to me was achy achy joints. I am not 100% sure why Myostatin inhibitors do this, but from what I have found it is a combination of a couple of things. First, pumps are ridiculous. Second, there is an increased stress on certain joints because of the growth that is occurring because of the myostatin inhibition. If anyone has any further insight I would love to hear it, but why it doesn't feel the best, it is a strong indicator that this stuff is legit.

looking good in here. Wouldn't increase reps also put greater stress on the joints, just in general? Also what about thirst, maybe less joint fluid?

You are probably right about thirst. It's hard to pinpoint because I work outside and it's summer so I'm thirsty all the time anyway. I have been doing higher reps but lower weight. I find the higher weight to cause more of an issue. The pumps aren't painful per se, but they do become restrictive and feels a lot worse at heavy weight.

I don't think the higher rep workout itself it causing the joint pain like it is because I consistently rotate between PHAT training and more of a PL based program and I don't usually have joint issues during the transition.

Wednesday I had a split workout. 45 min lifting, haircut, 1.5 hours lifting.

Started out with some shoulder warmups.

Clean and Press 95x10x2, 135x5x5

Wide-Grip Upright Rows 5x10x65-115

Facepulls 5x10x???

Smith Shrugs 5x10x worked up to only 315.

Break

Lat Pulldowns 5x15 worked up to 190 and then did some really heavy for low reps

Crunch Machine 115x30x4

Low Row 5x10

Seated DB Press 5x10 with 45, 55, 65, 75,75

Deadlifts ??? Worked up to a 495 single and 3 attempts at my old max of 545 but it was a no-go today

Dumbbell Front/Side Raises

Rear delt flys

Barbell curls for good measure

Thursday's workout was short because I had to work over 2 hours. Just Leg extensions, leg curls, back extension machines and on to squats.
Worked up to 455 successfully and went for 495 twice and failed about 1/3 of the way out of the hole. At least I know where Im stuck at. I failed in the hole Sunday.

Did about 150-200 reps of abs and called it for the day. Hitting Chest and Arms Hypertrophy tomorrow for dat stoopid pump.

Every day now I notice how full my muscles look, I feel like overall my shirts are fitting tigher in the trap, lat, and arm areas and that Im looking more muscular than just bigger. Can't wait for hypertrophy tomorrow and see what kind of ridiculous pump I get, because I'm sure its going to be epic.

Haven't checked weight in a while but tomorrow morning seems like a good time to do so.

Missed my weigh-in friday. Worked out friday and did a smorgasboard of everything in preperation for leaving for vacation. Drove all day Saturday and spent Sunday with the family, but was able to wake up Monday and hit some Chest/Tris. I also cracked my personal bottle of Follidrex so I will keep this log going another week. I took some pics and will try to upload, but if all else fails I will take final pics when I get home saturday and post those along with measurements.

Some weird machines in this local gym im using this week. Weights are all numbered so I really had to go by feel. The pec deck was in no way normal either, or the bench, or really anything. Oh well. It's still weight so I won't complain too much. Gonna do some legs tomorrow.

Instant onset pump is one of the best ways to describe follidrex. It definitely fills me out. My joints are still very achy from it especially on chest days.

Ok guys so I ran Follidrex for 3 weeks. Strength was good throughout, muscle hardness, pump, and vascularity was very improved especially during workouts. Overall muscle thickening and fullness seemed to build throughout the three weeks as evident by a 6lb gain in bodyweight. I put roughly 1/4 inch (cold) on my arms and about a half inch on my chest and legs. The only downside to this product I have found is that my joints are hurting like hell (other myostatin inhibitor products gave me a similar side-effect), I look forward to taking a few weeks off and then jumping back on with the 1.5 bottles I have left (my own stash) and giving it a second run.
