Since I’m right on the edge of 200lbs, they asked me to run 2 caps per day. With the bottle lasting only 2 weeks & reading some of the other logs of (-)epi, I went ahead & got in on the BOGO deal for Follidrex & will have a total of 3 bottles on hand to take this out to 6 weeks.

My diet – aiming for @2900 cals per day, although I’m not too rigid with tracking. I’ll track religiously for a bit, but then just go by mirror, scale, & energy for whatever’s on my schedule. What’s really helped keep me under control is that I cook a lot of my food for the week in one big run on Sunday. Then I have good food already in place for me to grab at a moment’s notice. I’m also a percussionist, as well as fire performance artist – so between training practice & rehearsals, anymore I just eat when I need to eat.

Training – I’ve been doing 5-3-1 for some time. I like it & keep making gains – win-win! I like to train first thing in the morning before work, empty stomach. I did my first full PL meet in February this year. The log in my sig began with my preparation going into that meet up til now. I’m just finishing a deload week right now, so I will be updating my training maxes in just a few days – stay tuned.

First dosing yesterday, 20 min before training & right before bed – empty stomach. Nothing to note so far – just a couple of black capsules & silver/black bottle.

I had a pretty intense last week, with 5-3-1s on the training schedule & a rehearsal I’ve been practicing a ton for. This deload has been very welcome to some sore muscles. Yesterday was OHP – nothing special to note, except for sleeping weird & waking with a really stiff neck played havoc on generating any power – my deload sets were tough…

Hell yeah buddy! I can definitely push longer and harder now. Using a machine press for bench, shoulder press and squats though. Got a multi-station home gym and some bowflex 10-90 dumbbells.

Hell yeah buddy! I can definitely push longer and harder now. Using a machine press for bench, shoulder press and squats though. Got a multi-station home gym and some bowflex 10-90 dumbbells.
Heck yeah - home gym is where it's at. I keep adding a little here & there to mine. Squat cage, cable pull-down tower, DBs, etc. There's nothing like just rolling out of bed & hitting the iron - no waiting, no driving

1 cap empty stomach before bed, then 1 cap 20 minutes PWO this morning. Nothing to note so far. Deload squats. I always take a PWO break on deload weeks – man it can make it tough getting moving sometimes though.

Morning weight is 200. I’m thinking that this will go back down in a day or 2. Stomach’s been a little upset due to the food choices of the fest Sunday, hopefully clears up very soon. My usual trend is to hold some weight when my stomach gets upset, then it’ll drop back pretty quick a day or two later. If that doesn’t happen, then I’d say the follidrex is starting to get to work.

As suspected, weight down to 197 this morning. Stomach bug still lingering a little, but on its way out. Today I felt more on the level all around.

Well I guess the Follidrex kicks in fast. Noticing an increase in soreness & these are deload workouts – how am I getting sore abs from deload squat day?.... Now I’m kinda glad I started this on a deload week. The DOMS could get brutal.

Nice man, the only DOMS that bug me on Folli are legs. I was sore like 4 days after doing squats, which was the first time it's lasted that long.

Starting up a fresh 5-3-1 cycle. A little lower than last week’s more or less stiff-leg deads…, but I feel I’m still starting with my hips too high & therefore never really felt myself get my back locked in tight. I felt the 3rd rep of 370 starting to lose form, then the 4th felt kinda sloppy. So I called it a set & thru 10lbs on there for another set of 4. I’m not going to give myself too hard of a time about missing the prescribed 5th rep, unless I would’ve just bombed on that next set – not ideal, but whatever - 5’s on deads suck – always tell myself my conditioning could use a bit of work on these days.

Front squats – inspired by Duffin’s recent vid, decided to start pausing these in the hole for a 5 count. OUCH! Those bad boys are tough. I hate them & will be seeing them a lot more often ;)

Follidrex – Definitely some action there. Forgot to get bodyweight this morning – I’ll catch it tomorrow. I’m definitely feeling an increase in soreness, but more of a mild soreness over my whole body vs. localized extreme DOMS like a brutal leg day. Doesn’t interfere, just notice it. Can’t really comment much on endurance yet, as deadlift day always leaves me in a pool of sweat, but I felt like I got into a good groove & just stayed there most of the session: effective, even if uneventful.

Pardon my delay – busy weekend. Wife & were redecorating our bedroom – put together a new bedroom set from Ikea...blah blah…fun… Well, with Saturday’s OHP being interrupted, I decided to make use of Sunday & squat. Don’t think I was quite recovered enough, but it is was what it is. First off – something between my clothing & belt/buckle were pinching the absolute sh!t out of me. I didn’t crap out on that top set due to lack of gas – I thought I was bleeding…lol. Secondly, the part where I wasn’t recovered – my upper back felt did not feel like it was quite up to the challenge. The DOMS have been more intense since starting Follidrex, & those pause front squats did feel like death a few days ago. So basically, I would descend, get pinched, & from there it felt like each rep was a roll of the dice… I’ve been pinched by the belt before, but never that much – jeebus….

Bench went pretty well. However, rest is definitely in order tomorrow. I could feel it. My back was angry with me trying to set an arch. Hit that 7 a bit sloppily, then threw on 10lbs & the slingshot & went for another 5. The slingshot is cool… I feel like my bench is the solid one of the 3 right now – it’s cruising along, just doing its thing. I know it’ll get a boost in it as well from the increase in upper back work I’ve been doing to help sure up my squats. No vids today – was focused on the task at hand & just did not think to vid…

Weight is at 194 this morning – down a few lbs again. Noticing a little leaning in the mirror & the pump seem to hang on a little longer after training. I’m noticing somewhat of a persistent thirst. Not severe, just whenever I’m around water I’m slamming the whole glass. Follidrex has definitely upped the DOMS – can’t say they’re severe, more of a mild all-over soreness.

& done – shortened session today. Let’s just say a few interruptions getting started. The last couple days were pretty hectic, included in that is waking up to a dead refrigerator. Along with that excitement, felt just kinda beat up so took an extra rest day yesterday.

Pulls felt better today. Felt like I was getting my back in better position setting up. Not perfect, but I think the vids show progress. Not too happy about my neck position though – drive my head into the bar when I’m squatting – when there’s actually a bar on my back…lol. Vid cuts off early on my 390 set – ran out of storage & had to delete some stuff. Definitely keeping those paused fronts in there – they put the hurt on me, even for just the few reps I was able to fit before time cut me off.

Weight at 193 this morning. Stomach was not happy about something this morning. My guts have been a bit testy lately, but can’t blame it on anything in particular yet. My diet has been odd since the refrigerator broke. I had cooked all my lunches for the week on Sunday, so those are set. Dinners, though, have been restaurants every night this week. Our new fridge arrives tomorrow afternoon – not a second too soon…. Couple days left on the 1st bottle of Follidrex – definitely seeing endurance improvement, noticing a bit of leaning in the mirror.

Easy come – easy go I suppose. Yesterday’s great session turned into today’s grinder… Went out to dinner with the wife & her sister. As an educator, she just started back with kids this week – so a couple beers were in order last night. That turned into some late night cardio, which in turn cut way into my sleep.

Chins felt ok – heavy but ok. OHP felt rough – didn’t feel like I had any mind-muscle connection to speak of. Everything felt like a ton. When the 2nd set ended up being more of I grind that I expected – it effectively doomed my top set. Thinking a reset may be in order on OHP. I’m also thinking it’s time to swap out chins for pull-ups. My goal on weighted chins has always been to build a base strength level that would get me into pull-ups.

Nothing too much to speak of on Follidrex today. I like that it is easy to incorporate into my routine – just take on an empty stomach. A lot of supps have not been too kind on my belly, best examples are certain GDAs. Not so here. Really the only thing I notice directly around taking it is just a mild ‘awake’ – euphoria is way too strong of a word, and I’m not amped up, just feel more on point.

Squats felt good up until that 2nd rep at 315… GM’d the sh!t out of it…. Lately I’ve been finding myself walking out into a too narrow stance, hence that little shuffle I gotta clear up. I felt good about hitting that 335 – as it was my meet best in February.

Blisters on my hand from my work on sealing the driveway yesterday made these a challenge – gloves helped but not that much. About to unrack on the slingshot set – felt a weird pain in both bicep tendons. It immediately went away & I didn’t think anything of it. I managed to hit 4, then once I racked that set – they were burning pretty good again. I did one last set of rows & called it a day. I didn’t want to set myself up for days of tendon pain this week. I figure it’s attributable as well to working yesterday. I was not expecting the driveway to be that much of a pain…lol


Follidrex - Some interesting things happening – my wife has been making comments on my abs…always nice. I’ve had to move in a hole on my lifting belt. A couple of my shirts are almost too tight in the chest. All of this while staying at 194lbs… I’m noticing a little bit of leaning in the mirror & pump is definitely hanging around longer. Not sure if endurance or libido, but the wife is enjoying it – not really like a horn-dog feeling, but something is working better…

Diet hasn’t really changed – I cut back on some sugar & added some fats/protein by swapping out my usual chobani yogurt/friut cup to making my own out of ***e greek yogurt, almonds, flax seed. Lunches during the week consist of chicken, rice or quinoa, & a veggie. Evenings – this past week was all restaurants, as we were replacing our refridgerator unexpectedly & probably a few too many drinks …. Now we can get back to cooking at home.

I just finshed my sponsored bottle & will be excited to see how 6 weeks treats me. I’m thinking final review would be best at the end of the run – still a little too early to give much info.

just thought I'd share how my hands held up thru Sunday's work.... The area on my palm feels bruised, in addition to blistered. I think I should be fine to pull tomorrow, might have to use straps, but pressing sucks though.

370 was way more of a grind than it should've been & 415 just sucked (calculated to 410.4, rounded to 415). Too far in front for the first rep & didn't feel like I ever found sh!t in the way of leg drive. I went with gloves today, as it still looks like I have stigmata due to the big red blister in my palm...

And I think I'll just take a mulligan on today in general.... gotten up on the wrong side of world today. I had just enough gas in the tank & time available to get my work sets in & that was it. Needless to say - less than stellar performance. I hope I'm not getting sick, but I had absolutely nothing in me today. All week I've been tired as can be & my lifts have been crap. The wife's starting to get back in the swing of being in the school again, however that transition makes for some added stress at home this time every year.

Traveling this weekend for my sister & nephew's birthdays, so in order to get any lifts in, the session will probably be a little squirrly - gotta make do with what I can. Since today was so short, I contemplating on how to fit squat & bench in (at least work sets), using OHP to fill any leftover time. I'm done with this cycle & welcoming a deload next week.

Final 2-week sponsored log review of MDXMuscle Follidrex – (I’ll post an ‘official’ product review at the end of the run – 6 weeks)

Here’s what I can say about running 2-Follidrex per day for 2 weeks (1 bottle)

Weight change – down 3lbs – in the mirror, noticing some leaning starting. Moved my lifting belt in one more notch.

Pump – upped the pump. It also seems to hang around longer.

Endurance – definitely see an increase here. I’d find myself nearing the end of a session still just hammering away, when normally I’d be pouring sweat/panting/slowing down

Strength – no noticeable strength gains, but I have shed a couple lbs since starting & my lifts are hanging in there (albeit I have felt a little less explosive gas in the tank & more general endurance increase).

Appetite – no change

Sleep – I experienced somewhat broken sleep when taking this right before bed. I only took a couple doses that way then moved to taking my 2nd dose in the late afternoon & no issues now.

This is an interesting product & I’m ready to see what the next 4 weeks have in store (maybe longer?...).

Thought I'd drop in some notes - still going on the Folliderex, about to get into the 3rd bottle - noticing a little leaning while staying the same weight (might even be up a lb or 2). I wouldn't necessarily call it a libido boost, but even the wife's commented. There's definitely something going on - seems like I'm ready to go more often. I feel like the endurance aspect isn't quite as pronounced as it was early in the run, still there.

I’m still taking Follidrex. Seem to be having a decent little lean bulk going. The mirror is showing some slight leaning up around the midsection (and taken in my belt 1 notch) while shirts & pant legs are getting more snug. Taking fluctuations into account, I’m holding onto about 2lbs since starting.

Recently (1 week ago) added AB OG & Erase – probably a little overkill, but I feel like I’ve got a handle on what to expect out of Folli, so let’s see how they work together. The last time I ran AB & Erase, my libido tanked – so far no change from the increase I last noticed since starting Follidrex.

Final review of MDXMuscle Follidrex – 6 weeks

Weight change – initially lost weight, now holding up @2lbs

Pump – Not really noticing a big pump difference, except for early in the run.

Endurance – definitely saw an increase early, then it seemed to taper off, or else I just adapted to it. I do still find myself near the end of a session still just hammering away, pouring sweat

Strength – Increase in my lifts at normal pace (on Wendlers 531) while leaning up -

Appetite – no change

Libido – didn’t see an increase in libido per se, but maybe an increase in readiness if that makes sense… everything was functioning a-ok (to the wife’s chagrin) thru the run

Sleep – I experienced somewhat broken sleep when taking this right before bed. Otherwise no issue

Overall Opinion – Looking in the mirror, I definitely leaned up & the scale showing a 2lb increase means I also added muscle. Seems to be a solid player in the natty market. Near the end of the run (2 weeks left on 6) I added/transitioned to Anabeta OG & Erase & that combo seemed like it could be a promising stack.
