  3. Time to Get Fit with Performax Labs FitMax


    Did some grappling today and some bag work. I've been slacking on my mma training lately and it's been really tiring. So trying again to stay more consistent to build up my cardio and "gorilla strength" if you've never trained mma you'd be surprised how damn strong they can be. It's a different kind of strength. Anyways training went good. Took 2 scoops of FitMax about 20 minutes before and was doing pretty good until we started rolling. After a few mins I was gassed. Took a 5 minute rest and went again. We also did some king of the mat I probably sweated out 5 pounds, and tomorrow I'm going to feel like I was hit by a truck.

  5. Yea grappling would be intense! I wrestled Freshman year in high school and I've yet to find anything that would tire you out faster than those practices.

  8. You're right about the strength being different. Some people do not realize, but strength in the gym does not equal real life strength. I am stronger than a good friend of mine, in the gym, but he is a contractor and he can lift an enormous amount on a job site. Way more than I can. He is taller so he has a better wing span, but even if I was his height, I wouldn't be able to do what he does.

  9. Good call. One of the guys I train with is about 15 pounds lighter than me and can't keep up with me as far as lifting goes, but I have a hell of a time out muscling him on the mat.

    Hit up some chest at home today and went down to work some standup and Thai training this evening. Just like I knew I would be, I hurt like a bitch today but did what I needed to do. My standup is still pretty good although I kept going back to some bad habits of standing in front of the guy and dropping my right hand for awhile. Eventually got back on point after I got tired of tasting leather.

    Took 2 scoops before hitting chest today and although I didn't sweat as much as I had been, I still worked up a pretty good one.

    Wow what a day! Worked for my landlord staining a couple of decks. Got nice and burnt for sure! Was soaked with sweat by the time it was all said and done. The last deck I stained was at a trailer being rented by a early 20 something couple. Was standing outside bsing with the guy when his lady poked her head out. She said hi and went back in. Then 15 minutes later she comes out in a bikini and was just sitting on the hood of their car staring at me. Now I gotta admit she was definitely a good looking girl, and although as flattering as it was having a 20ish yr old girl checking me out, after awhile it was kinda awkward!!

    Before all that fun however I hit up some early morning back training. Took 2 1/4 scoops this time. Although the energy level didn't seem any different my focus increased as did the amount of sweat.
