Gonna try to go see my doc later this week for followup. Either this should clear up in a few more days or we'll have to run tests to see what's going on. So here's hoping it's not permanent!
@superbeast668 I'm not sure if I'll really be able to lift either day now. This is honestly decimating my entire meet prep; everything is up in the air. But if you want I'd still be down to meet up. I wouldn't even mind showing you that gym & kicking it while you trained, like the less-important bodybuilder shouting at the featured guy in Muscular Development video lol. I know that's lame, but it wouldn't be that weird there - the owner hangs around w/ a case of beer just talking while people lift all the time.
It really is a good place to go heavy.

Dude that's awful news. Hopefully the doc is right and it's done quick. On a bright note maybe you'll make a lighter weight class?

So I ate a bowl of white rice. Measured a cup uncooked. Didn't finish it but got at least 2/3 down. First solid meal of the day. Not supposed to put salt or pepper or anything on it. Do you know how easy I'd have killed that with some louisiana hotsauce???

Really good news: haven't deuced yet today, & had couple scoops of isolate w/ gatorade & tolerated it well. Abdominal cramping isn't as bad today. Even had a few pieces of the gf's popcorn w/ some sierra mist while watching a movie & was g2g.
Went to the grocery & picked up some white bread, bananas, chicken breast. Just at 2 pieces of toast & some plain chicken breast. It was so good to eat protein again!
I think I'm on the turn around, gents. Weight was down again this morning, to 196.8 (from 203-204 sat). Time to get hammering on some white rice & chicken!

I'm back on the stack!!!
I kept tolerating every meal I ate yesterday, & decided to push the envelope - last night at 5/8 of a pepperoni pizza. No issues. Woke at 199.8 feeling great today, & body no longer sore. Not having any issues. Movements are still liquid, but I'm going 1-2x/day like a normal person again. Didn't take a preworkout today, just my MST stack & trained on gatorade/bcaas after a solid breakfast (couple eggs, 6 oz chicken, 2 pc toast, banana) earlier today.
Picked up @superbeast668 near the airport in STL & we headed on over to this dirty, old-school, [email protected] gym in Overland called Eagle Gym. Threw the owner $10 for the both of us & he told us to have fun. Awesome time.
We did some max-effort benchpress & just felt it out as we went for everything thereafter. Spent 5-10 min warming up shoulders & then it was time to get crackin'. Haven't trained with a partner or without my ipod in a while, but the gym doors were open & the radio was going & nobody was in our way so it was about as good as it could possibly get!
Benchpress 95x5, 135x5, 185x3, 225x2, 245x1, 275x1*assisted*, 265x1*paused off 2-board*, 245x3*assisted*, 225x3*pause/hold til commanded*
95, 135, 185, 225x5 each I believe, 275x1, 315x1, 335x1, 365x1, 385xbomb think that's where he stopped
CGBP 135x3 sets
V-bar Tri Pressdowns 5 sets each I think
Logpress 3 sets each probably, logweight +50 for the middle set & just log for other 2
Bit of shoulder pump-work
All my work was done off my chest except the single 2-board press. I needed help on the 275 single & 245 triple (was only good for 245x2). Superbeast did a slow 4010 tempo on a lot of his bench work, especially the cgbp. He also was using the whole stack on pressdowns lol. This wasn't a super hardcore session; we were just lifting weights & shooting sh!t as we traded off between sets. More or less when one finished, the other started. Maybe 90 min or so if I had to guess. It was the kind of day that makes you realize why this can be such an enjoyable hobby - even if you didn't get anything out of it, you'd still do it because you're enjoying what you're doing, where you're at, & who you're doing it with.
Afterwards, we cruised over to Delmar & smashed some diner food at Fitz's bottling company - no joke, I ate a 1/4lb coney dog w/ a huge stack of onion rings. SB put this patty melt away like it was his job. Weather was great so we walked our dinner off for a bit before heading back home.
